aadams_22 3
Seat 6 is definitely on a low draw and you could probably push him out on 6th with a raise. Also, since seat 6 holds one of the K's I would say it's pretty certain that seat 3 doesn't hold 3 kings, although it's possible. I would put seat 3 on two pair which means he has 3 outs to improve to beat you. Knowing all of this I would raise on 6th to value bet my trips and to try to knock out seat 6 and his obvious low draw. So yes I would say you were too passive on 6th street. Frez 0
Seat 6 is definitely on a low draw and you could probably push him out on 6th with a raise.I don't think so. Seat 6 already called 2 bets cold (Hero bet and Seat 3 raised on 6th), and will most certainly call if it comes around for two more. That doesn't mean I wouldn't raise here, but even if Seat 3 caps, Seat 6 is coming along for the ride. And as hard as it may be to give Seat 3 credit for the 4th K, what else do you think he is raising with into Hero's open trips? Beware the paired doorcard.Given that, I don't think 6th was passive. You're still drawing to a low, and getting raised by a better high. The lead bet was fine, but I'm not 3 betting the Kings here. HangukMiguk 8
The lead bet was fine, but I'm not 3 betting the Kings here.Agreed. There are several keys to this hand that makes me call:1) he paired his door card. That's a guideline you have to be wary about. Add to it that it was a big door card, and he caps fourth with it. It could still mean he has two pair, but I worry about that.2) You are showing trips on board, and yet he still raises you. It could be a bluff, but how many times does someone fold trips showing? Anyone? For all we know, he started with (99)K, boated.
litlebullet 0
I am not of the calibur to fold on 7th but let's say I hit a low card. What would we do? How about boating up?
Frez 0
Agreed. There are several keys to this hand that makes me call:I feel validated...If you boat up, I check call. The Kings are betting regardless, and you could be drawing dead.I was about to type lead if you hit a low, but upon further deep and meaningful consideration I think checking is better because of the order of play. If you hit an A or 2, you probably have a good low vs Seat 6, however he's not calling unless he made a low. Check it, let the kings bet, then if Seat 6 calls you can decide if you want to raise to see if you can get another half bet out of him. If you hit a 6 or 7 for a weak low, you can flat call and pray you've got half. If the Kings bet and 6 folds, then you can flat call and split the pot.Did I mention how much I HATE people who raise on the end with obvious one way hands into someone who likely has the other half, just so they can drive up the rake and erode the tiny profit in a split pot!!!! I'll jam a high hand on the river against someone who may be low, but also may have a worse high this is very situational, how ever

Very situational, because even then you'll frequently be against a player how only raises with A2xx, so if there's a potential low out and the guy raised preflop...
