I'd bump this up more preflop since there are already 2 callers and we're out of position. I like $1.50 better. As for the river, I probably call as played.

You should make it 1.50 preflop as there as limpers before you. You should understand WHY you are raising here. The reason is you want to thin the field and play a HU pot against someone. Your raise is also for value. You are OOP in this pot so raising a little extra makes the hand easier to play and may compensate for the disadvantge of playing OOP. Basically your $1 raise has no purpose other to ensure that you will play a hand which you can't be confident in playing unless you hit a 9 against several opponents, OOP and that is not desirable.On the flop, even though you hit a set, your hand is about as vulnerable as it can get and you need to bet about the size of the pot to protect your hand and also make draws pay. If someone has a straight or flush draw and are calling your bet then they will call afew extra pennis more. Why not charge them?The rest of the hand is pretty standard. Easy call on river obviously.

Guys...the raise to $1.5 isn't particularly necessary here. Yeah, I might go $1.25 or something, but $1 is fine too. We shouldn't really be worried about SB much at all. If he wants to come in, he'll be OOP, and he really could be on almost any two cards with the complete. Button's LP limp is also pretty weak. If we think we're better than him, we don't need to make a big raise. So yeah...don't hate a bigger raise, but I think it's unnecessary here.Also, call the river as played...even though Jx is crazy likely with the button open-limp.

I do. If I'm calling a bet, I stick it on him. Maybe he folds a 7 here, although I doubt it. Regardless, if I'm putting the money in for a chop, I might as well put it in first and hope to scoop. You're only losing to JT, J7 or JhXh I think, unless he had some really obnoxious runner-runner clubs that paired the flop or had a gutty on the flop. When in doubt, stick it and pray.

alright yeah I misplayed the hand because I thought the flush draw got there and not the backdoor draw. I called he had the flush.... I thought it was kind of a stupid bet......thanks for the info
