I'm thinking i could have gotten more on the flop and the river, but is that always the route to take?

Pre-flop and flop are fine.I like to try the check-raise on the turn since you hold the nut straight. The river makes a boat a possibility (if he was calling with 2 pair), so I may call it down on the river.Dev

I retract my statement about calling down the river - its a bit weak. I agree with calling a 3bet.Dev

He's first to act, so there's no 3-bet to call on the river unless he checks first. I think checking the river is a big mistake. Anything marginal gets to showdown for free.

im not sure about the river 3-bet.Anyone go for overcalls. We are sure we have UTG beat. You have to be right that our straight is good 2/3 of the time.

I think you can get more from 3 betting it, cause the play can get capped. I don't doubt this donk utg would go along for the ride, he has so far for the entire hand
