Naismith 0
Okay, I'm sitting on about 600 dollars playing 1/2 NL.UTG raises to 10. I call with Kd9d. The button makes it 20. UTG calls. I call. Both players have ~200.The flop is 987 with one diamond. Checks to the button who bets 35. UTG folds. I call.Turn is a 6d.I push all in.Top pair, second kicker baby!Likes? Dislikes? Metternich 0
Is this for real? I hate the whole thing. There are so many straights out there, not the mention the fact that you could be easily up against a set. Anyone who would call your shove would have you badly beat. Your only chance is probably a diamond, and thats a pretty long shot to put $500 on.
Syntonic 0
I think it's a good play, they're a good chance you're ahead anyways, but even if you aren't the villian might fold if he's scared of the straight, etc. Even if you're behind you still have a bunch of outs, so I think considering what was in the pot, and how much he had left, it's the right move.I'm guessing he called?Edit: Metternich, based on preflop action I doubt this guy is holding a 10 or a 6. His bet on the flop looks like a pretty standard continuation bet - chances are he's holding AQ or something.

As it is, I'm putting him all in for roughly a pot sized bet.
nomad_monad 0
i'm not pitching this drawgiven that, i'd rather bet itwith villain min reraising pf, the only hand that concerns me is TT. i doubt at 1/2 live he folds an overpair much, but i expect even our K to be an out a lot of the times so we don't need to pick up much fold equity. plus it's good for image. I think that's a losing play. This is a semi bluff. The Villain really should be folding 2 pair and sets to this bet. If we get called by those hands, we have outs. If he calls with 2 pair, we have lots of outs. If he calls with a set, we have 8 outs to win and 6 more to tie, so I think it's a good play.WOOF WOOF

antistuff 0
you got yourself involved in a big pot against a early position raiser and a re raiser for 10% of the effective stack size with k9s. i dont think it matters much what you do, you lost.

The play itself looks transparent; if the hero really did make his straight on the turn, why is he open-shoving with it? I assumed we like to get value out of a draw that hit. Why attempt to blow the villain out of the pot? A player who min raises w/ a high pocket pair preflop, then makes a decent bet on the flop probably isn't getting away from it. He's probably considering the same split outs the hero was.All in all, I don't mind attempting to pick up the pot, but perhaps with a play that better supports the hand were representing. dms26 3
I don't have a problem with it, you give an overpair (except TT) a tough decision. If you do get called by AA or KK you just gotta river the runner runner, simple. If you know he can't lay down a big pair though I think a blocking bet might be the best option to try and see a cheap river. Villain can't like that turn card, a min re-raise just seems like a big hand preflop.

sierradave 0
All in all, I don't mind attempting to pick up the pot, but perhaps with a play that better supports the hand were representing.Stack size is a problem there, though. If villain has basically one pot-sized bet left, the only play with any fold equity is the all-in push. If you check and the villain bets half the pot, you're check-raise will give villain 4-to-1 on a call.If we check and the villain pushes, we're getting 2-to-1 on a draw that has between 7 and 14 outs. Fold equity would be nice here, and it seems like the push is the only play that gives it.With that said, you cracked somebody's set with a runner-runner flush draw. Every time someone does that, God kicks a puppy.
