0.25/0.50 Hold'em (10-handed)Pre-flop: akishore is MP1 with A :D J :club: .UTG calls, 2 folds, akishore raises, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, CO calls, 2 folds, BB calls, UTG calls.Flop: 10 :club: 9 :) 7 :D (6 players, 12.5 SB)BB checks, UTG checks, akishore bets, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, CO calls, BB calls, UTG calls.correct bet, right? i actually like this undercard board sorta. i have a gutshot straight, a backdoor flush draw, and my ace outs might be good... should i be check-calling here instead? or should i be check-raising to clean up ace outs?Turn: 6 :) (6 players, 9 BB)BB checks, UTG checks, akishore checks, MP2 bets.both my draws improved tremendously (a diamond gives me the nut flush, and an 8 puts a straight on the board, which might allow me to win more bets from those who end up playing the board while i have a higher straight. however, i don't know what to do here since i could be up against both a made flush and a made straight now (since everyone called on the flop), and that would reduce my outs drastically. i can't decide if i have enough equity to bet, so i check. when the person to my immediate left bets, should i have check-raised? i'm not sure i played this right...thanks,aseem

I think check-calling the turn is correct here. You can only count 7 diamond outs as truly clean...the 8 of diamonds could complete a straight flush. The 10 or the 5 could also complete the SF if someone's holding the 8d, but I'd be more concerned about the 10 pairing the board than the 5 filling up the SF. Seven outs gives you about 6:1 odds. Check-raising could open the door for a three-bet. You are getting 12:1 pot odds on the call and 7.5:1 on the raise (assuming MP2 doesn't reraise and the calling stations both call an extra bet), while the 3-bet would give you 6:1 only if both the callers behind MP2 called the extra two bets (5.33:1 if one called, 4.66:1 if they both fold). So, depending on your read of MP2 and the calling stations, a check-raise would at best be mathematically marginal, and at worse would put you on the wrong side of the odds table.
