If the game had people who actually knew how to play triple I would say maybe. The pat 8 is a hard hand to break with only 3 cards to improve you if you are beat (beause he must have one of the 7's to have you beat). In a 2-7 game with someone taking 2 cards on the final draw and 2-3 cards on the first draws, I don't think there is any way you can break your hand. Just gotta "Stay and Pray"

Biggest factor in my decision here was that there were THREE "he's" still drawing so I didn't figure there were any 7's left.

Very likely, although the guy taking two on the end could have any 3 wheel cards really. I think against solid competition you could likely make a fold here or if two people stayed pat you also could. In the low limit game, you will see to many rough 8's turned over to fold here for one more bet.Did he make a 7?

i can't think of a spot where breaking a pat 8 would ever be good, unless the action got completely insane...and in this hand you have to catch exactly a 7, so there's no point in breaking it

never ever ever break a 68 or better in limit 2-7. if you think you're beat often enough, go ahead and fold, but unless the game you're in is utterly retarded, you never ever ever have odds to draw to 3 outs.
