i'm pretty sure both of these are correct hands, but i just want to make sure. these hands are from prima, so the converter doesn't work, unfortunately. i just kind of converted them manually...0.25/0.50 Hold'em (10-handed)Pre-flop: akishore is SB with 8 :) 6 :) .UTG calls, 1 fold, UTG+2 calls, 3 folds, CO calls, Button calls, SB completes, akishore checks.Flop: 6 :club: 2 :club: 2 :D . (6 players, 6 SB)UTG checks, akishore checks, ..., Button bets, ..., akishore folds.i just figured that i probably don't have the best hand right now, and even if i do, there are just so many ways i can get outdrawn. plus, i'm out of position. reverse implied odds say that it's just not worth it. correct?0.25/0.50 Hold'em (10-handed)Pre-flop: akishore is SB with 8 :club: 8 :D .5 folds, MP3 limps, CO raises, Button 3-bets, 1 fold, akishore folds.it's 2.5 to me in the SB, and i can be sure the pot will be at least three-handed, maybe four-handed if MP3 calls three cold or five-handed if BB calls two more. the thing is, i wasn't sure if i may have to call another bet if someone caps it. i thought about this for a while, and i figured since it's close, there's no harm in folding since it's pre-flop. was this too tight?thanks, aseem

really?in a loose-passive game, 5 opponents, first to act?not to be results-oriented, but at showdown there were four hands: flopped trip 2's, turned flush, turned jacks up, and rivered aces up. isn't that kind of a prime example of how by showdown i'll almost never have the best hand?if i have the best hand by showdown, i'm almost never going to get payed off much past the flop, but if i go to showdown, i'm going to pay off hands that outdraw me a LOT.right?what about the second fold?aseem

The second hand is fine. The first one, you just have to know when to release it. Your hand is best, alot of the time. A check/raise might be in line if it thins the field.
