Yeah, shove it. An open-raise from SB almost always is a steal - looks like a perfect spot for a re-steal:- villain is very likely stealing- you have lots of fold equity- your hand even has some value in itself- bubble is no concern- the pot is meaningful for your stackWhen I'm feeling like playing a little trickier and taking a bigger risk, I'll sometimes call here and push over the top of villain's inevitable c-bet, but I think a preflop shove is almost always the better play (and your stack is smallish for that).

Yep, I shove. Way ahead of his range and he will probably call you with lesser hands.

I always shove in this situation, but im not sure if its really the right play. U still have plenty of chips if you fold. But on the other hand Roger is right.. his range is pretty big.. u probably will have to win a few hands in order to cash in this tourney so this might be the best spot u get..

in these type of tournies.. hes not folding any hands that have you beat and hes proably not folding like KQcc which you are barely ahead.. I fold here and find a better spot to get it in.If villain has been opening EVERY time it folds to him then its a snap shove.

Is it wrong to just shove hoping to take the money that's in there, assuming he's decently aggro, and can have a wide enough range here, so he'll fold a lot?

no adding 300 to our stack really isn't worth the + $ev to do this. In a sng 1700 chips at this level is the same as 2000 chips at this level.

IF villain has a wide range( which I doubt it in these tournies) then its an easy shove... but for the sake of long term profit I would stay away from shoves like this for a while.. save these types of shoves for higher stakes games where its harder to chip up and you have better reads on your opponents. in a 3 dollar sng you will find PLENTY of +EV spots... I see no real long term edge in shoving there and I would advise against it.
