Geeze Royal, convert your posts and dont include results homes..I think I would limp preflopIf I did the math correctly, I don't think i can ever fold getting 5:1 after all the actionOnce you put that much in and flop TP2K, I can't see another play unless you attempt to check it down, which he might not cooperate with and then you have to make a difficult decision for all your chips...Tough spotI like limping preflop more and more hereYou edited it while I was posting...Niceeeeee...Hugs and kisses

I guess, the idea was to take the 1600+1600 +800 +antes.i knew UTG+1 wasnt strong, he was at my table for a while and i had a decent read on him.and i thought i could throw it away if something like a all in from the blinds or if i was wrong on my UTG+1 read and he pushed. but after the re-raise and the all in and UTG fold.i felt the price was too good to fold.

I understand your logic..I vary my play and sometimes would raise with this in position as well. After you put in the raise, I don't think you have much of an option..You are getting more than 4: 1 and when that flop hits you relatively well, I think its standard from that point on..Just a rubbish spot

PF play is pretty unreasonable/borderline awful. You can limp behind the limper or fold, raising is basically out of the question IMO with 7 players behind you. Then when SB reraises and BB calls all in, yes you're getting huge odds but you're committing most of your stack PF and are likely dominated. Limp preflop, fold when SB raises. As played you obviously go broke on that flop, but it's kind of a moot point since over half your money is already in the pot.

i can't find those 7 players, i see 4i think it depends on the player...with position, i don't think i'm ever folding here, it really depends on the players behind me including the limper...if they are playing tight i would probably go ahead and raise and try to take down the pot, but otherwise i would just limp and hope to see a cheap flop...once the SB raises you probably have to fold it depending on the action of the BB and limper and the size of the raise he makesas played i don't know what i would do against the re-raise, you are heavily committed and likely in big trouble but getting laid a huge price...just considering how many different ways we could be dominated, i fold very reluctantly...if you call pf though you obv get it in on the flop

Quite right, I'm an idiot. For some reason I thought you were UTG+1. Well the raise is still iffy, but not terrible. I do think you have to fold to the reraise and the call though, despite the great odds, just because it commits so much of your stack and you could be VERY dominated (KQ doesn't play too well vs KK...). Flop is standard as played, no way you would ever fold there.

My line would be limp/fold - but I'm nitty..... :club:
I don't like that at all with this stack<>blind ratio, and especially considering the turbo-structure of this tourney.I agree with push or fold pre, but as played the rest ist standard I think.

On second thought, I agree with you - I think I play these situations too passively sometimes - fold/push pre are likely the best options. Limping is just spewing to the inevitable reraise/push and raising is just begging someone to come over the top of you (like here).

why are you raising such a small amount after someone open limped.. you are encourging action with your hand when you don't want action at all.. I shove pre.
