I tell you bout my league you tell me my strategy based on the depth of positions in the league.
QB's 1pt/50 yds passing 1pt/20 yds rushing 6pts for td -2/int
RB's 1pt/20yds rush 6pts/td 0.5pts/rec
WR 1pt/20yds 6pts/td 0.5pts/rec
I think QBs are about 5 deep, Manning, Brees, McNabb, Bulger, Carson Palmer
RB's very deep field this yr, also with receptions being 1/2 point it's very important
WR's these are always tricky but a depth chart from you guys and why would be nice.
Where should I go first, whats the strategy based on where my pick is. We have a 10 team league and play 1QB 2RB 3WR TE K DEF

Fantasy football is all about the RBs. Don't let anyone tell you different and don't even think about taking anyone else in the first round (or 2nd, unless someone like Manning drops). Think of it this way. There are 32 starting QBs, enough for everyone to get a starter and backup without going into the worst third of the pack. There are 32 starting RBs and a few quality backups or timeshares, giving you around 40 RBs you wouldn't mind using, at least as injury or bye week fill-ins. For everyone to have 2 starters and backups, all 40 of these will be used. Most teams use 3 WRs a lot meaning there will be plenty of guys available.
If you draft a QB in the 5th round, you will get an average guy. If you draft a WR in the 5th round, you will get a good player. If you get a RB in the 5th round, he will be one of the worst starters in the league and probably a time share guy.
Good luck.

RB 1st and 2nd rounds. And try to get a RB not stuck on one of the "RB by committee" teams. (They are so irritating, inevitably the rb you drafted gets team to red zone and the rb you didnt draft gets the TD carries.)
If top 5 QB available in 3rd round probably should get him, though I've read a few 'experts' who say it's okay to reach for a Top 3 QB in round 2. Risky I guess.

Rb's Tomlinson, Jackson, Johnson, Maroney, Addai, Bush, Westbrook, Rudi Johnson, Shaun Alexander, Gore, Jones-Drew, Portis, Henry, McGahee, Parker.
You think it's better to get two of these, instead of getting Manning + committee like Jones -Drew/Taylor + solid WR?
I just don't think the output of Rudi Johnson is that much better than some sleeper I can get in the 5th like Ronnie Browm, Cedric Benson, Thomas Jones, Cadillac Williams, Adrain Peterson, Marshawn Lynch. These guys are available later, I like having a QB that I can depend on and now have to matchup based on who his team is playing.

Let me give you another viewpoint, although its not all that different from the previous ones. Its NOT all about the RBs, but you do have to have at least 1 good one. In the last 6 years I've been in 15 fantasy leagues, and have 5 titles (obv brag post), and let me tell you why: I DRAFT THE BEST PLAYER AVAILABLE when its my turn to draft. Period. Usually, that is a RB, especially in the first round, but not always. In 2 of those drafts I had the last pick. Since all "premier RB's" were gone, I used the pick on Harrison and Owens and Harrison and R.Moss (back in the day). The top tier of WR's is golden, especially when receptions are points, like in your league. Don't be stuck drafting someone like Thomas Jones in the mid-late second round when there are premiere WR's like Harrison, C.Johnson, etc available just because you feel you need 2 RB's right away.
Let me add to this a bit: if everyone picks 2 RB's right away, then come the 3, 4, and 5 rounds, they're not going to be drafting RBs! They'll be worrying about other positions, and you can pick RB's that are left whenever you want. I'm not saying this is always the best way to go, but don't feel you HAVE to go RB, RB, QB, WR, WR, etc. Pick the best player when its your turn.
Also, with receptions being important, don't overlook players like:
Reggie Bush. He had 80+ catches last year I think.
Joseph Addai. He will catch a bunch of Manning dumps too.
Andre Johnson. Led the league in receptions (I think)
Your draft board should look similar to this: LT, S.Jackson, S.Alexander, L.Johnson, Addai, F. Gore, Manning, R.Johnson, RBush (i'd probably draft him this high in a reception league) as your top 9. Then its up for grabs and pretty much goes to preference. If you feel that one of the next RB's isn't as good as Marvin Harrison or Chad Johnson, you should consider taking them, and seeing what RB's are left for your second pick. I'd definitely have 1 GOOD (non platooning) RB in the first 2 rounds, but don't feel pressured to take 2. Good luck

depends on your league, i personally hate H2H leagues i think they are boring and are a waste of time, obv im in one this year because i was bored at work and got into a draft. Also why do fantasy leagues end so early in the year, its quite frustrating
Im going to the rhino twice a week now, i think i may have a problem, but this problem i dont wanna fix

My league doesn't end until the super bowl. Check the thread on it or PM me for details. So far there are 3 FCPers plus 6 more of my friends. We still are looking for a few more teams.
