Here's a hand I just played that I'd like feedback on. Especially from wrto who was in the hand.2/4 HE with 10 people. The table is loose and full of horrible people except wrtoI'm UTG and get 3
3
I call, 1 fold, MP1 calls, wrto raises, 1 fold, CO+1 3-bets, 2 folds, SB call, BB calls, I call, MP1 folds, wrto caps, everyone calls.I called the 3-bet because there was going to be at least 4 other people and possibly 5 other people seeing this flop so if I hit a set I could get payed off huge. Is this bad logic since with much action there is bound to be big pairs and I might lose to bigger set? After wrto caps he has KK, AA or AKs, and similar for CO+1 with no idea what the blinds might have.5 people see the flop, the pot is 21SBFlop: 3
10
K
SB check, BB check, I check, wrto bets, CO+1 folds, SB calls, BB calls, I raise, wrto 3-bets, SB folds, BB calls (all-in), I cap, wrto callsI go for a check/raise here because I want to build the pot and also to charge the flush draws more (though it won't get rid of them). I'm pretty sure I'm way ahead as I figure wrto has AK or AA. If he has KK then he's going to get a nice pot from me.3 people see the turn, pot is 16BBTurn: 9
I bet, wrto raises, I call.I have to call the raise. After the raise I'm not too happy with my hand anymore. Either wrto has KK so I'm dead to the 3 or he has AK of spades and just made the nut flush. Getting 19-1 on my call I have to call and if I don't improve I check/call the river since there is a small chance wrto has AK or AA w/o the flush.2 people see the river, pot is 20BBRiver: K
I bet, wrto callsI hit my full house and lead out. With the board pairing, I only see wrto betting if he has KK so I want to charge him to show down AK or AA. If he has KK for quads then more power to him. I'd only call a raise though as it means I'm probably beat.At the time, I thought I played the hand well, but the more I think about it the more I think I just got lucky and played it too aggressively.

Well, except for the fact that it cost you 4 bets to try to hit a set which may or may not be the best hand if it hits (KK very possible, 1010 less possible but maybe, along with who knows what other hands)I like how you played this hand after the flop
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

he has massive implied odds ob hitting a set by calling PF

you didn't play it too aggressively... you played it perfectly!!and yes, limping with small pairs UTG is ok in loose games if you know at least three or four others will come into the pot behind you. even if it gets raised, pocket pairs in loose games are okay with paying two bets to see a flop.aseem
