i think i would call and re-evaluate the turn, although shoving wouldn't be all that bad either...with no read you want to at least give yourself a chance to get a clearer view of the situation on the turn

Exactly! He has position on you and the cheapest way he can ask "do you really have a pair of queens?" is by min raising. At this point he has invested 40% his stack so a min raise does seem the cheapest way he can steal. Him being a competent player doesn't mean his cards are good at this point.I'm not folding right now and if you shove here he's getting 2.25:1You should also consider what you image has been up until this point and maybe that'll help with deciding whether he wants you to fold or call.

Forgot about this hand lol, was away for a week. I've been showing down good hands but have also been stealing a lot as I do have a large stack. I think with his chipstack, the minraise means he wants action, by doing it he's committing himself to the pot pretty much. I did end up shoving, he had AA and I lost a big pot, then donked the rest of my stack off and bubbled ftw
