David_Nicoson 1
UTG+1 is pot-committed (if he's smart), so we're semibluffing into a dry side pot. I like betting out better.

sabes99 0
i just pot it straight out, no reason to get tricky with this hand, you've got a monster draw

bdc30 0
UTG+1 was going to bet, there was no doubt.I was hoping for edit--BB-- to call so that I could come over the top of them both. UTG1 was too shortstacked, and was calling a repot, but I was hoping to get some dead money caught in between him and I.

Actuary 3
I suck at seing outs.I was like, um... you have an oesd? But now I see, 4,5,8,9,T are outs, many to the nuts to.Weakest part of my game. The pf call seems loose; but I play a ton of hands and I'd play this one unless it was a table with a ton of aggression preflop.Would it make more sense to not pot it, but to get BB to put some more in with a smaller raise? David_Nicoson 1
edit-sorry, I had this confused with another hand.I was just trying to use my position to trap BB in to putting money in the pot where he was obviously weak or drawing, and I felt I had a big enough draw to do so.So you're hoping that the BB calls one bet with, say, 2 pair and then folds? This is a good draw and all, but we're ****ed against some 89Tx hands. bdc30 0
The hope though with the big re-pot was that if the BB did hold some of my outs and was drawing at the same straight, I made the price too high for him (imo) and he would have to let it go. If he had a set (therefore not holding my outs) then I think he has to call, and I like my chances with as many cards as I have that will make my hand. It's sort of a win-win for me. If he's drawing at the same hand and folds, I can "clean up" some of my outs and prevent a chop. If he's not, and is leading right now and calls, at least most of my outs should be live. sabes99 0
If he's drawing at the same hand and folds the bold is the key point...if he has a big straight draw also he will not be folding
BudBundy 0
you won't play these hands from UTG when you move up , will you?

simo_8ball 1
Definitely fold preflop.Straight draws usually have pretty decent implied odds (especially at this level, I'd say), and by c/cing the flop the pot will be big enough to extract good value on the turn.Take the 3:1 drawing odds and see a turn.
