simo_8ball 1 Posted July 11, 2007 Share Posted July 11, 2007 It's not about FE, it's the idea that on the flop we can easily be an underdog to a draw, and it is better to wait until the turn to put money in, where the draw is far weaker.Ideally, we would like to make the draw pay a reasonable amount on the flop, then again on the turn. The problem is, if we raise the flop, we allow any big draw to get all of their money in as a favourite against us. By calling, we lose the minimum when he hits the turn, but we also get to make him pay a big price as a dog when he misses. Link to post Share on other sites
