simo_8ball 1
Obviously I play it the same preflop.I might call the flop. It's pretty close. Seems quite blatant that he has AAxx, and you're only about a 3:2 dog against AAxx. Factor in that he is more likely to play the hand this strong with suited aces and I think it's kinda borderline. BudBundy 0
I don't get why you might call flop.
simo_8ball 1
I don't get why you might call flop.Against a pure range of AAxx you are about 40%. You only need slightly over 30%.If you think he is more likely to use this line with suited aces your equity probably drops to around the breakeven point.Oh, and most importantly because I'm an idiot who draws to 9 high flushes and retarded backdoor straights and two pairs. Basically.

sabes99 0
i think it's somewhat close, but if he has ace high clubs you're going for a long ride, so i probably dump it
simo_8ball 1
Against AAKK w/ no clubs we are over 46%.Against AAJT w/ no clubs we are over 45%.Against AAQQ we are 36%.We are only ever in trouble if he has clubs, in which case we are 20%.

simo_8ball 1
If you plan on calling that flop. Might as well gamble it up the whole way. Meta game.Shoving preflop is -EV. We have $2.9 invested and we are ~40% against AAxx. Calling to see a favourable flop is +EV because we call $6 to potentially win his stack. Here we have flopped a flush draw with backdoor straights possible, and we are likely to be against one overpair. This is a better flop than it looks.
