MinhLyFan 1
Ok, so last night my friends and I headed out to this party at a house on a dirt road. At one point it became really bumpy really quickly. A ton of small bumps that is. Anyways, after driving over them my car began making a screeching noise. It sounds like metal rubbing metal around the front left tire. I have no idea what is going on, but I am really worried about it.

Pot Odds RAC 23
I'd say try and figure out where the sound is coming from and then fix it.Seriously though, it is pretty tough to diagnose something like this with so little information. Take it to a suspension place that you can trust. Or you must know someone who knows a little about cars who can actually look at the thing. Or go into any bar and start talking about car repair, you'll get as many opinions as there are guys sitting at the bar.
rsmbox 1
it's obvious that you need to pop the hood, wiggle some stuff, and then kick the tire. what kind of man are you?
davezz5 0
Could be a wheel bearing. Maybe the bumps damaged the bushes on the front suspension arm.

coesillian 0
a dude at work had me back up his car so he could hear where the sound he heard in the morning was comming from. It was a metal on metal sound comming from the tire and he said it was probably some rust chunks that got lodged between the drum and the wheel. Take the tire off, clean up the mess and your problem will be fixed.thanks for asking. NEXT
BDPoolie 0
There's not enough info to answer this one.We need to know what kind of read you had on the road? What were the ditches stack sizes?Position matters; Were you in the front seat or back seat?Dang...I've been on here WAY too long. hank213 1,824
I would take it to a mechanic and ask them to check the muffler bearings. Sometimes dirt roads cause dust to get in there and gum up the works.
