Hi guys,I just started up a league on yahoo with some different ideas. We tried this last year and it seemed to work well.$60 per team last year. I'm hoping to up it to the $75-100 range but will listen to the group. I take nothing for running it.Head to head league for all 17 weeks.Money goes to the high score each week. Was $10 last year with 8 teams, but will go up if we get more teams and/or increase the fees.Points for TDs, yards, receptions, etc and bonus for reaching 300 yds passing or 100 yds rushing or receiving.Negative points for turnovers and missed kicks.AFTER 17 WEEKS, THE TOP 4 TEAMS MAKE THE PLAYOFFS, WHICH ARE DURING THE NFL PLAYOFFS.Playoff teams can keep up to 6 players from their final roster, then there is a playoff draft. In the playoff draft, the top seed gets first pick in every round as the teams build their rosters up to 11 players.Playoffs are simply combined point totals from the first round of the NFL playoffs to the Super Bowl.No roster changes during the playoffs, when your guys drop out, you just have less players.Yahoo does not support this system, so I will score the playoffs by hand, and may ask some guys for help with this.Prepare for teams fighting for spots in the playoffs auctioning off their players that are expected to go deep in the playoffs at the deadline. The top teams were giving great deals of non-playoff studs for decent guys they can keep in the playoff draft. One particuar team that was out of the hunt made several such trades last year and got some money back by winning several of the weekly pots.Post here, PM me, or email sloshr@yahoo.com if you are interested.Scott

I'm already in this league - but I wanted to give it an endorsement. Two green thumbs up. The playoff draft and points was awesome, aside from the manual scoring headache. I was happy with the 3rd place finish and multiple weekly prizes - paid for the league and then some.

Bump for those who didn't see this earlier. The league now has 7, but really 8 considering the defending champion is not signed up yet and he said he will definitely be back. 3 of the 8 are from FCP (sloshr, yoda, oziumrules) and I would love to see more FCP participation and get the league to grow to 12 teams. The league fees will likely stay at $60, though I would like to see it increase a bit if the membership is willing. This is not as much as it seems, since the high score each week gets paid ($10 last year, more if we increase the fees) and only one team didn't cash. Even though I put a lot of work into running the playoffs, all of the money goes back to the players.Try it, you will not be disappointed.
