Jeff Lisandro, the only person who had a chance at taking first place in the WSOP POTY race from Tom Schneider was just eliminated in 14th place in the $5,000 NL 2-7 Draw Event, which is also the last event to accumulate POTY points. So with his elimination Tom Schneider is the 2007 WSOP POTY.Congrats to Tom!

How does the points system work?would AC even be close if he takes this down?
The secret of success is sincerity. Once you can fake that, you've got it made.

I heard he started with 100 POTY points just because his brother was on the Dukes of Hazzard. Kinda BS if you ask me.

Congratz!! One heck of a feat, especially considering the huge fields and the limit structures.I always found Lisandro to be a bit of a sourpuss. I view last year's WSOP confrontation between Jeffrey Lisandro and Prahlad Friedman as a missed opportunity. Prahlad could have gone gangsta on him and release a 'diss rap blasting Lisandro. Friedman doing a monotone freestyle 8mile-ish 'diss on Lisandro would have made him a legend.. Bonus points if he could get Vanessa Rousso to back him up, and Phil Ivey to beat box. This could still happen. I *want* it to happen.btw- maybe this could be the rap video Phil Hellmuth will be appearing in. Hey Phii... err.. Gman, can you confirm?

Thank you, Mr. Schneider. You helped me win my $100 double bracelet prop bet on Bodog. Somewhat came down to the wire, but it all worked out in the end.

Glad he found a new job after they fired him and hired Craig Kilborn.
