Ricer98 0
This hand occured at a mixed game table. I had only been at the table for about 6 hands of razz before stud started, this was one of the first stud hands. RoBang was a horrible razz player. He was calling on 3rd with just about any cards, he actually called a raise with a jack up, paired jacks on 4th, and still proceeded to call down the river with a J low. So I really wasn't expecting anything along the lines of good plays out of him in stud.Hand #42911401-95857 Card Stud *High* ($0.25/$0.50), Ante $0.10 *3rd Street*Janet: xx xx 7h___foldsRoBang83: xx xx Ks___raisesbooder3600: xx xx Ts___foldsKC-Orlando: xx xx 5h___foldsSundawn: xx xx 4h___foldsRicer98: 2h 2d 2c___*bets*___callsXarquinn: xx xx 9c___calls___calls*4th Street*RoBang83: xx xx Ks 6c___*bets*Ricer98: 2h 2d 2c Kc___callsXarquinn: xx xx 9c Js___calls*5th Street*RoBang83: xx xx Ks 6c Qc___*bets*___callsRicer98: 2h 2d 2c Kc 7s___raisesXarquinn: xx xx 9c Js 5d___folds*6th Street*RoBang83: xx xx Ks 6c Qc 6d___*bets*___callsRicer98: 2h 2d 2c Kc 7s 5s___raises*River*RoBang83: xx xx Ks 6c Qc 6d xx___*bets*Ricer98: 2h 2d 2c Kc 7s 5s 8h___callsUp through 5th is pretty standard in my opinion. The range of hands I gave him were pair of kings or another decient sized pair in the hole to keep betting. When he didn't reraise 5th but lead 6th I figured he made kings up and thought he had the lead in the hand again. Now that he leads again on 7th I'm not sure what the best play is. Folding is out of the question because the of both the pot size and the lack of confindence I have in my opponents skill level. I'm not sure if I should be raising here though. I've raised the guy on two previous streets and yet he keeps leading into me. Should I just be calling here or did I miss a bet by not raising?
HangukMiguk 8
I had a similar situation in Razz before, where a bad opponent popped me on 5th, I raised, she called, bet 6th, i raised, she called, then bet into me again on 7th, and I had a smooth eight when she was showing a T low through the whole hand. I flat called, and she showed me a 7 low on the river. This is usually a clear cut sign that they made whatever they believe could be the stone nuts in this hand are taking you to value town. There's no way you can't call, but raising IMO is out of the question.I like the play up to this point.
Frez 0
I might have raised on 4th. Small trips are not to be slow played, but otherwise I like it.I'm OK with the river flat call. I don't think he's calling a raise with anything you are beating. I'd feel better if I'd seen some 6s go away.

I'd feel better if I'd seen some 6s go away.the reason i like calling fourth though is that it gets more money in from speculative hands, plus when 5th comes, we can now pop a bigger bet in to drive out those speculative hands. they're more apt (especially at this level) to cold call two small bets with meager holdings than two BBs. on top of that, we won't be able to get that initial bet in on 5th if we raise here, because the bettor will most likely check, we'll bet, and if those meager hands hit, say a pair with a gutshot, they'll be calling, as will the original bettor. Moreover, there's added deception to the hand.now granted, in cash game scenarios, i don't run that line every time rolled up, but i run this line most of the time. simply put, it's one of the more effective ways to get more money off the few times you get rolled up. drcossack 0
3rd - I don't like flatcalling here (at this level anyway), ever. Bet the hell out of your trips - ABC poker works 95% of the time at .25/.5 Stud. I can, however, see reasons for it; your play would be along the lines of a 3 flush or a 3 str8 (with a Duece doorcard, a 3 str8 isn't likely though.) Of course, I could be giving him too much credit.4th - Looks good. He's obv. not a skilled opponent as you said, but a call there is good for making it look like a flush draw. Raising here may be a good idea, but if you catch a club on 5th, he's not gonna pay you off on later streets.5th and 6th look good - probably Kings up here, but he just wants to showdown without going crazy.7th - good. As bad as players are at .25/.5, even they can't/won't 3-bet without a hand they think is good.whee first postaments.
yeffy 0
Did you bring it in for a completed bet here? Or was the first raise a completion?I would have brought it in and then reraised a completer here on 3rd st. While I like waiting for 5th to pop a double bet there are times where boards get too scary to do that and you end up having to just call (ie: paired door card, 3 flush etc.) So when possible jam it on 3rd st. You will often see 3 or 4 players take a cap on 3rd in these games.
KowboyKoop 0
I'd have played this hand more aggressively from the beginning..in low limit Stud games......players love to draw all the way down with a LOT of hands........and will raise a lot if they hit any two pair that they feel might be good no matter what......
