Here's a few hands. Got the money I had out of Pacific bought Poker Tracker and deposited $100 more into Stars so I could move up to .25/.50.With the added money to the bankroll, I started the night at $170.80, ended at $178.63. Just over 300 hands played.PokerStars 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (9 handed) converterPreflop: rvrcrdbandit is CO with [9s], [9d]. UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, 1 fold, BB calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, MP2 calls.Flop: (10.40 SB) [2s], [Kh], [3s] (5 players)BB checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 bets, UTG+1 calls, rvrcrdbandit folds, BB calls. Now that I look at this, I feel I should have either raised or folded to UTG+1's bet. Instead, I called then folded to the re-raise.Turn: (8.70 BB) [Kc] (3 players)BB checks, UTG bets, UTG+1 calls, BB calls.River: (11.70 BB) [8h] (3 players)BB checks, UTG bets, UTG+1 folds, BB folds.Final Pot: 12.70 BBPokerStars 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (10 handed) converterPreflop: rvrcrdbandit is UTG with [5d], [5c]. rvrcrdbandit raises, BB calls, rvrcrdbandit calls, MP1 calls.Tried to play more aggressive with the 5's similar to what WRTO mentioned in another post about mid/lower pocket pairs. Was it correct to call MP2's 3-bet? Was it correct to raise in the first place from UTG? Flop: (15.40 SB) [Kc], [Qh], [Th] (5 players)BB checks, rvrcrdbandit checks, MP1 bets, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, BB calls, rvrcrdbandit folds.Really scary flop, check/fold I would hope is correct.Turn: (9.70 BB) [3c] (4 players)BB checks, MP1 bets, MP2 calls, MP3 folds, BB calls.River: (12.70 BB) [Ah] (3 players)BB checks, MP1 bets, MP2 folds, BB calls.Final Pot: 14.70 BBPokerStars 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (9 handed) converterPreflop: rvrcrdbandit is Button with [7s], [7c]. 1 fold, BB checks.Should I have raised this from the button?Flop: (4.40 SB) [8c], [9h], [Jc] (4 players)BB checks, UTG+1 bets, MP3 folds, rvrcrdbandit calls, BB folds.Turn: (3.20 BB) [7d] (2 players)UTG+1 bets, rvrcrdbandit calls.Again, should I have raised here?River: (5.20 BB) [4d] (2 players)UTG+1 bets, rvrcrdbandit calls. And here? I can hear Kdawg and WRTO laughing at me saying, WHY ARE YOU SOOO PASSIVE??? My answer, cuz I'm just dumb, new and not very good yet. Final Pot: 7.20 BB

This looked great until the flop call. Fold it.

AH! I never said raise 55 UTG. Position is very important and 55 is a small pocket pair. I say play 99, 88, and 77 more aggressively, but it has to be in the right situations. I will explain in another thread. Just call 88-22 in early position.

Raise preflop. :-) You have the button, here.Given that you limped I would fold the flop with only 4.5 outs. The pot is too small to chase a gut shot and a set that is highly unlikely to be good.

Thanks WRTO. And next time I'll post one hand at a time, read that other post a little too late.

I don't think that's necissary for the race posts...only hands you have questions with.

I am folding 5-5 UTG unless it is a very loose table. wrto's advice is probably ok, he tends to play a few more hands. i dont think folding is bad here though.
