The two people behind you are showing [8], and [6]. you dont know anything about the other players (but the game is played at $0.50/$1.00). I probably play a little too tight on 4th though. Rest of the hand is nice.For the question before the hand I would raise. Sucks that our 8 is showing and that we dont have two wheel cards to go with it but Id still raise. Against only two other players our hand is good enough of the time. Even an open pair scare me from calling this.You played the hand fine in my book. I run the same line every time in this hand. No way anyone could take this to showdown with you. I've still only got two outs gone, this isn't a horrible situation, and I'm looking for the situation that happens on 5th street to happen here. I hit great, and they hit bad, and this happens more often than not. If I hit good and the seven high hits good, it may be slim, but I could call there and see if I hit my draw. I'll probably only be looking at 3 or 4 outs gone on fifth, and be drawing live, but not a favorite to bet it myself. with the king on 5th street, doesn't matter if he has the nine or the seven, i still take the lead there.The key about peeling one off with the open pair is that you look stronger than if you call with a hidden pair there, or at least that's my opinion. If you have three good cards with a lot of live outs, then you can peel one off, and show strength when their boards turn sour, and they usually believe y ou. Moreover, once you start firing, if you hit a hidden pair on sixth, they tend to believe you and lay down a lot to it. and ESPECIALLY at lower limits, the players are more timid than at the higher limits, and more willing to lay down to scary boards facing a bet.
