brindamour got the selke which is stupid as far as i can see, may as well call it best defensive forward who had the most points. ok he was the only guy to finish in the + but the canes didnt make the playoffs, he was on the ice for 61 even strength goals against and pahlsson and pandolfo were both on the ice for just 39 even strength goals against despite playing against their opponents top line consistently for playoff hockey clubs. i'm not saying brindamour isnt a great player but this award voting stinks. pando was my homer choice, influenced also by his ridiculous 8pims all season but i would much rather than taken pahlsson over brindy too.

I know Ollie is perhaps the most likable guy in the history of the world but the man love for him is bordering on the ridiculous. :)

When did they actually start presenting the mini trophies instead of the real ones?

I had a sneaking suspicion Luongo would get shutout (pardon the pun) at the awards.

So what's the over/under for Sid's career Hart Trophies?

3...
7....
10...?

My guess is he's good for 6.

I'd say he and Tavares will trade it back and forth quite a few times over the next 20 years, I'll concur with your guess of 6 for Sid.

Those two should be the Wayne and Mario of the new millennium.

being a sharks fan, I found it kinda cool that Vlasic and Carle were the first pair of teammates to be named as defencemen on the all-rookie team since Lidstrom and Konstantinov.
