fckthis 0
Playing a quickie before bed and this hand comes upstacks Hero-51Villain-20I have 33 UTG, and raise my standard 1.50. Folds to Villain in SB flat calls, HU flop.No reads, just seems to be a standard 50NL player, but takes too many flops. Has folded to my previous c-bets.FLOPQ104 r. He checks, I bet 2, he calls.pot=7Turn 10, giving board a FD.Villain leads for 4.50. Odd move, how do you interpret this? I myself have used this move as both a bluff and with trips. Remember villain has 12 behind.
Webslinger516 0
I think villain beats 33 more often than not in this spot, so I'd fold. I can't think of a hand you can beat that plays the hand this way... he's certainly representing a 10, or maybe a Q that's wondering if his Q is still good. Without any reads, I think this is a standard fold.
Snamuh 0
All you have is 33 here. This is a standard fold. You even said that he folded to your previous c-bets but he didn't here, so he probably has something, and that something would definitely beat 33.
Craigdog 0
you have to give him credit for hitting the flop.. easy fold.
Acid_Knight 2
Is this really worth discussing? 3 overcards, multiple straight draws, a flush draw and the board has paired already which means that there are 6 cards that leave you playing the board and you want to know if you should do anything other than muck? fckthis 0
Well, there is a little more to the hand.Villain had thought for awhile, and then made his bet here. I thought for a long time, and actually made the call here. I figured that he could have a hand like J9, or KJ, and making a move in this spot. River10.Villain takes much longer now, then bets half his stack, which was 6. Def expected a shove here.My read was a busted draw, and I looked him up, and was right, he had K9. He made an advanced play here, leading out on the scare card with a back up draw. Its something Ive done as well. I figured if he shoved, he had the goods, and actually expected a check, check on the river. This probably was a suspect call on the turn, but with the river it discounts his attempt at representing a 10. I don't usually look someone up here with such minimal holdings, but the time he took on both bets raised some flags. He seemed to put too much thought on the bet, and it just wasnt adding up. Might've been a good read or just dumb luck.
Acid_Knight 2
Results aside, calling here is like lighting money on fire.If he's bluffing with 56 (essentially a nut-low type hand) then he still has 12 OUTS!!! 12 outs against your hand with 6 high and no other draws? He likely holds some kind of straight draw and/or flush draw, if he's not already beating you. He can have anywhere from 12 outs to 27 outs (if he has a hand like KJ and the flush draw, he has 6 board pairing outs, 6 pair outs, 9 flush outs and 6 straight outs). That potential 27 outs would make him a 61% favorite with 1 card to come even if he only had K or J high. Oh, and if you're behind his hand, which could be 42 off suit, the you have, 2 outs every time.I don't care what kind of "read" you get online here, there is no reason to ever call in this situation. Even if you were right and were ahead, the villain still has a ton of outs to win. If you think he's bluffing a draw, then raise the turn. Don't call and let him get there. As played, you are pretty much just spewing money.

Webslinger516 0
Also you said you had no reads on villain in your OP. I think if you had a very reliable tell on villain based on previous hands that pausing meant he had nothing, he still has at least overcards... unless he has 22. Try not to rely on that general read in the long run, because some people just multi-table or do other things before they take action.

I went with it, but obviously forgot at how I can still lose w/o villain improving.
