At times I like to just call here. The reason I like calling is that 4-betting it really seems to define your hand. At the same time I'll be out of position the whole way. Which makes it a little trickier to play.What's the general consensus on my action when it gets back around to me heads up?

I think you should always add money to the pot when you have the best hand.

But do you think we lose the ability to extract maximum value from our hand by reraising? Say you do repop it, how likely will they be to continue past the flop unless they outflop you?At the same time if they do call and miss the flop, then you just picked up that much more from your preflop raise. I like to talk in circles.

it really all depends on who the opponent is and what your image is. thats it.

Can you guys elaborate a little more? Are you flat calling with a tight opponent or loose one? And why? Thanks.

Say they have a hand like QQ or KK and an overcard hits. You will have a much harder time getting much value out of them, whereas they might put many more chips in the pot preflop. Same thing with AK where if they miss the flop entirely, they probably won't invest much more.

Like I said, if you can learn to put money in while you're ahead and your opponent is strong, you'll do OK.

You can do 2 things. a) call and check/raise every flop B) raise to 15ish.it depends on the villain's aggression factor..is he passive? is he agressive? does he 3 bet often? what's your image? what's his image? do you 2 have history? ... a lot of factors to consider before concluding that a) is better than B) or vise versa....either play is fine in this situation.edit:: oops...i guess b ) = B)

Makes sense. I'll keep all of those thoughts in mind. For the record I reraised the above hand to $15.

I think especially when you're OOP, you should reraise with AA. The best possible scenario is that they have KK in this spot and they're going no where. If they fold, I don't mind taking the pot down preflop with AA especially out of position.

Looking at both your stack sizes, I'd just call.Ur hand starts to look more like AK rather than AA.Like others said, it depends on the player. It also will depend on the player for your post flop action.
