This may be in the rebuy thread but Vinnie Vinh hasn't shown up and is being blinded out. He started the day with 2000 chips.
Hope he's ok.

Vinh

these are the possibilities:

1) he's ODed at home
2) a bookcase fell on him at home
3) he had a heart attack/stroke/brain anueryism at home
4) he slipped in the shower/fell while drunk/tripped over the dog and hit his head at home
5) he's in the hospital
6) he's in the morgue
7) he's dead and someone will find his body in a couple days

i hope he is okay, but given the fact that he's a compulsive gambler, a verrrrry shady character, and that he was in such a good position today i'll be the first one to say it.

Vinny Vinh Eliminated in 20th Place ($16,232)

Vinny Vinh's stack has been blinded off, and he'll finish in 20th place. Not bad for a guy who never arrived to play Day 2.

Hope he's alright... icon_frown.gif

Not to be morbid, but the last time that something similar to this happened was when Stu Ungar was chipleader of the World Series of Poker in 1990, and then he didn't show up the next day. His friend, Billy Baxter, showed up at his hotel room to see what was wrong, and found him laying on the floor, a victim of a drug overdose. Ungar was blinded down, and eventually ended up finishing 9th in the tournament for $20,500.

I would just like to point out how great Ungar was.

He was DEAD and still made the FT

Thats not true - the year he died baxter went to get him and he said he couldn't play and baxter got his money back = the event referred to is the one i cited -i think - where he was stuck in the hospital but lived

I'm 99% sure so if i'm wrong be nice

unless eddie knew that and was exaggerating for a joke

Um...Stu Ungar won the WSOP in 1997 and died in 1998.

Yeah when he is talking about 1990 he just OD'd. If you remember how great Unger was he won the main event in 1997. So if he died in 90 that would be a great i suppose.

He looks terrible. Scary actually. He's lost a ton of wait and it looks like he is suffering all the symptoms of possibly crystal meth or something along those lines. He looks half dead.

Wow, of course it's not proven he's on Crystal Meth but if he is addicted to some sort of devastating drug i wish him and his family well.

Does this mean he's in a hurry all the time?..."Can't wait to get there?" kinda thing or is that Canadian for "he's broke from buying all those drugs" (wait some sort of street cred for money)...just curious.
