Footballguru 0
ew awful way u played turn. bet/fold is the worst possible line here IMO. If you bet you have to go with it. I dont mind a check for a free card, which is probably what i would have done. But to bet/fold on TP+FD is gross when you have commited nearly half your stack.I check on turn and prob fold to a big bet on river unimproved. Most likely he has a set of 9s here IMO although 10q also likely
cubsfan44 0
This kind of looks like a set of nines looking for a safe turn.If that was the case why would he check? Was obv hoping the turn bet would take it down and if not had a monter draw. Was super surprised by the check raise all in. My best guess for his holding is Q10.

Was super surprised by the check raise all in. My best guess for his holding is Q10.If he's the type to open q10, then we can include a lot of hands that have a nine along with j10 and jq. I really don't think the bet on the turn is that bad. I would be expecting a call or a fold a lot more than a c/r here. We bet the turn for value (really hoping we take it down at this point) and then realize that we weren't ahead in the hand and can fold.
No_Neck 0
T think you have to check this turn and take a shot at a draw, there are a lot of cards that can make you the best hand. You have a small pot hand, keep the pot small, check the turn.
Acid_Knight 2
Never EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER bet/fold with a hand like this. Take a free card or make a bet that commits you to the pot. I'd bet the whole pot on the turn and then if he raises, you just throw the rest of your chips into the pot.I like betting the pot on the turn.

Checking isnt a horrible idea either here, but a pair+fd+gutter=90% of the time a bet.

I'm partial to taking the free card though. Let him make the ultimate mistake by giving you the free card in the first place.

I mean such a wierd line by him. although as it turns out he played it perfectly against my holding.

I know that those are extreme examples, but he could have a hand like KK or AA here and you're drawing live to 17 outs and he could be bluffing becuase he's seen you raise on a draw before. It's just terrible business to ever let yourself get bet off of a hand like that when you have the option of seeing the next card.

A donkish play with Q10 seems most likely to me. which i am not getting odds to call against correct?
