WestcoastCanuck 0
I 3-bet the flop almost every time.On this flop? Don't you think 1). CO is folding to 2 more a lot 2) Button is betting almost any turn card if checked to?I 3 bet most of my set hands, but this hand seems to be begging for a check raise. I love the flop call and turn check raise. The flop is so raggy everyone else to drawing to 1 or 2 outs, or runner-runner.
Shimmering Wang 1
Check-raising here is correct. There's a better chance you'll be able to fold out weird gutters and other goofy hands that are- theoretically- drawing live against you. Letting them draw correctly is bad, and they make a much bigger mistake by calling incorrectly- given the pot is a half-bet smaller since you didn't 3-bet the flop, and opponents now have to call 2-cold- when you take this line. Everything else is drawing dead. It would be nice to make CO face two cold, but he'll call with open-enders anyway. If he folds the occasional gutshot that's nice, but it won't affect our equity that much. I still think I might like a turn check/raise, because I'd really like this pot to be headsup going to the river, especially if the board gets more coordinated on the turn. That being said, if I weren't lazy, I'd do some equity checks and see how it affects our margins. If we could bet/call, bet/3-bet, we'd get a chance to face CO with two cold, anyway. If that were possible, I'd be all over it.Wang
