When To Shove Preflop?

I actually have 2 questions here.1. When should you shove preflop? How low should your M be when you should consider shoving instead of just raising? I can't remember what HOH said and I don't have the book with me at the moment. I think I remember him saying at about 5 or so, but I'm starting to think a little bit higher about 7 or 8, unless that's what he recommended anyway.2. I'm not too worried with that Seat 2 player, he limps in alot of pots, one of the reasons he is probably shortstacked. As for Seat 8, I was at a table earlier with him and he limps, but not too often. I've had this situation come up before where I'm holding JJ and there have been times that I will just check to see if the flop is safe, especially this late in a tourney. There have been other times that I will shove, sometimes the JJ hold and sometimes they don't. So my thinking is that I may be better off just checking and seeing a flop especially late in a tournament and at the final table.Thoughts?---------------By the way, how do I work that FTR converter? I think you have to raise here to punish the limpers. Unless you have reason to believe either of these guys would limp with a monster, your JJ is probably very strong against what they're holding. SB is so desperate he could have a pretty wide range here. Limping would be a bad play because (1) you'll be OOP postflop; and (2) if any of them is playing Ax, Kx, or paint, you give them a chance to hit their overcard(s) on the flop. Pushing might actually be a good way of knocking the 2 limpers out of the hand and going heads-up against the SB, who is already all-in.

I'd shove here to isolate. Any raise other than a shove and I think you are bringing one if not both limpers along and we definately don't want that with JJ.
