Hit My Set On All Heart Flop

Recommended Posts

Final 2 tables of $10 rebuy.I have ~45K, villain had ~33K. Blinds are 600/1200, no antes.I'm in the BB with 66. Villain has been very laggy recently, raising 3-4 times per orbit & he makes his standard raise to 3600 in MP. Everyone else folds & I flatcall in the BB.Flop is 4h 6h Kh.How do I proceed? There's 7800 in the pot already. Do I lead for 5K? Do I try a check-raise (knowing if I check to him, he's likely to bet with most anything)? There's basically no way I'm not going to end up with my entire stack in there, right? No way I'm getting away from a set vs an over-aggressive opponent?

I'd gladly check raise big on the flop. If he checks behind though then you should lead a non-heart turn, since you don't want to let him make a flush for free. If he checks behind and a heart comes on the turn, I would check/call a reasonable bet and try to fill up.

I also agree with the c/r line IF he is virtually certain to bet. If there's some chance he won't bet, OR some chance that he will raise you if you lead, then I'm leading for nearly the pot here. A fourth heart rolling off is a disaster for you so a free card is a big risk.
