Meh, I'm completely content to c/f this turn, to be honest.It would be different had I raised pf, which I don't do that often in this spot, but there'd be a lot more out there to try to win.The problem here is that any J is calling down no doubt, and sometimes these passives just have a bad ace, or even a slowplayed decent ace.If the board was A73 2, then I'd like it a lot more.

I like itI would fire the river again if another card higher than my 8 peeled and would check/call otherwise.preflop: I would actually raise with 88. It's a pretty good pp and if I can fold the bb, then I'm happy to improve my chances of having the best hand. That and having the intitiative durr durr dur durr

i definitely raise preflop too. doesn't play too tough postflop vs passives IMO, especially with any reads. from reading your posts, you're happy to isolate with marginal hands, which require more difficult postflop decisions than acting first with 88 in a 4-way pot.if you're not playing a crazy amount of tables, making postflop decisions based on opponent's actions and board texture seems undifficult enough to grab value here with a preflop raise (depending on just how light their limps are).
