Most of you know that I am a fiscal conservative. If you didn't, you know now. I didn't vote for Trump and Im pretty sure I wouldn't have voted for Bernie Sanders. Would have looked for a 3rd candidate.

What Trump just said about Obama, Bush and all the other former presidents in regards to calling families of the Fallen military is beyond unforgivable. This man truly is an abominable human being.

He lost me when he said McCain wasn't a hero because he likes people who aren't captured

The man makes me sick

Trump mocked McCain for getting captured, attacked a Gold Star family, lied about Obama calling the families of fallen soldiers, and politicized Kelly’s son's death. This is not a man burdened by empathy for those who served.

Trump to widow of Sgt. La David Johnson: "He knew what he signed up for" http://bit.ly/2kUHPz...campaign=wplg10

someone told me the full quote. And I still need to verify it myself. But that quote is taken out of context

something like "He knew what he was getting himself into but he is a Hero anyway"

Something like that but like I said, I need to verify the full quote

according to the article this is the full quote, it doesn't make it better. I actually don't blame Trump that much. He is a narcissist and sociopath and incapable of understanding human feelings. They really should just admit that and let Pence do this stuff.

MIAMI-DADE, Fla. - President Donald Trump told U.S. Army Sgt. La David Johnson's widow Tuesday that "he knew what he signed up for ... but when it happens, it hurts anyway,"

Its just delivered poorly, the message could/should have been more properly expressed.

He's an idiot, and there was a better way to convey those thoughts. I don't think its smarts/education that keeps him from saying it the right way, its a lack of empathy for others.

If said right with more consideration for peoples feelings, it could have been a nice way to say that he volunteered for a dangerous job knowing that he may make the ultimate sacrifice for his country/Haliburton.

ok, maybe leave out the Haliburton part.

So, I wonder what the cognitive dissonance is going to be like for all the Trump supporters who blasted Hillary over Benghazi when they read what actually happened on this Niger incident. Assuming they can peel their eyes away from Fox news for long enough to take in a second opinion.

yeah, but emails.

People keep saying this, and while it’s valid, I feel like it ignores that 40-45% of people were voting Trump regardless of emails. They seem to be the bigger group than the 5% that were maybe swayed by emails

I know Fox News panders to this clown like he's personally providing hookers for all their senior staff, but their 'interviews' with him have now literally become them leading questions with HIS lies. We are ****ed.

Those of you who follow me on Twitter probably saw my retweet of Michael Granges response to Donald Jr. Tweet about socialism.

It's incredible how Jr. Manages to be equally disturbing, offensive and ignorant all in one tweet. So many wrongs you can't even begin to respond to such idiocy.

The funniest part is how dumb the analogy is. The kid was just given a huge handout or candy. A HANDOUT!!! She didn’t go slave away in the coal mine for $6/hr and buy that candy with money she earned (Aka the republic dream). It was a handout. Free. I can’t believe the right wing hasn’t abolished Halloween already. The whole thing is handouts. Redistribution. Rich people giving out full size chocolate bars, largely unable to keep poor people from accessing them (debatable, whatever)... etc. lolololololololololol. But hey, these seemed like a good time to make an entirely awful and misleading point about socialism and tax, right? How could you not do it? I mean, right? ****ing socialists!!!!

One of the better responses to that tweet was a story from someone (whether it's true or not doesn't really matter), who said at 5, she fell ill and wasn't able to trick or treat, so a neighbour child offered to split her haul with her.

Fight hate with love, compassion, empathy, generosity, etc. You know, all those traits that define good people.

Except remember that in the U.S., even many middle-class people live in gated communities where poor kids can’t just walk in and trick or treat. So the redistribution is often within your general income levels.

I liked that one too.

Had not seen the JK one, thats probably the best. lol, like I said, so many levels of wrong in his tweet.

not just being a dick, but missing the whole point of it being a handout in the first place, to a person born with privileges that 99.9% of the pop will never experience, without any work.

Im trying to stay arms length from this crap, but man, these idiots do not make it easy.

Looking at the Facebook posts made by Russians...I'd be pretty embarrassed to be someone who fell for all of it hook line and sinker. Pretty sad that Russia had a good idea that a large enough population in the US would be as gullible and misguided.

I wish it was more obvious what this whole presidency would have been like but they hid their true selves so well. Everyday is a complete surprise.

The key is that you didn’t see them all together (though about 1/3 of adult voters would see no problem with that either). The problem is that even the semi-borderline people could see one at a certain time and it might sway them a little.

Though the whole Russia thing is basically a red herring. Jack Probosiec has probably orchestrated multiple absolutely fake stunts and is still beloved by 30-40% of Americans. Republicans are making no noise about the absolutely insane lies that have nothing to do with Russia but are coming from senior Republican leaders and Fox News on a daily basis.

It’s been clear for 10+ years that Republican voters simply see no value in truthfulness or an ability to accept something they’d prefer not to be true. All the Russian operation did was show just how unqualified those statements are, how extreme that could be taken too, and how extreme a reaction would have to be to contradict it. Think about how much time, effort, notice went into countering something as explicitly and plainly false as the birtherism - there’s just no way a steady stream of lies could be countered In that way, and since so many would happily believe something they want to be true, you can just lie all day knowing that only the most enormous will be countered and people’s worldviews will be fully shaped by the lies.
