I think I may have heard the dumbest thing. I'd like to nominate it for the dumbest thing if that's a thing.

My kids' school has a policy in which staff don't say "dice" and encourage the children not to say "dice". They instead call them "number cubes". Their logic (ha) is that calling them "dice" encourages gambling.

This is the dumbest thing.

Anyone know when the next Yahtzee Anonymous meeting is? YA?

Some lighthearted talk here plus this will make sure that I can read this again sometime as it's a good story, at least for me. If it wasnt for posting all those apartment stories I would forget almos

I debated posting this, because I might be overdoing this topic this week, but I made a sort of personal promise to myself that I am going to promote more positivity and try to never be negative or pu

Danny.... Thats a great attitude to have, and you will be amazed at the progress Owen can make with that kind of attitude and persistence on your part. On Feb 4, 2003, the diagnosis I got was that

I really hate stupidity.

I guess they never watched Mr Presbo in The Wire teach the kids probability using dice and playing craps.

This book was written by a very close friend of mine, and tells you a lot about how messed up the system is, especially with regards to Math, and the drastic step he took to distance himself from it. I highly recommend it, its a great read on Education, but also about life in general.

My son was studying for a Probabilities test last night. I went over to see how hard it was (damn, I have forgotten a lot of what I have learned!) and the first question was "If your roll a set of dice 12 times..."

lol, guess it hasnt hit his textbook yet.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching Eminem eviscerate Trump for 5 minutes tonight. Even if it isn't likely to change any minds or do much good, it was very enjoyable.

Nobody can possibly be shocked about this Harvey Weinstein news.

I'm curious, when you say "nobody", you mean literally no one in society?

What was it about him in particular that was supposed to give it away for someone like you or me who have never met him?

I'm talking about the media and celebrities. This guy had a whole lot of power in Hollywood. He could make people rich. He probably had a very large couch.

You're probably right that a fair amount of people who were close to him might have had some idea he was the kind of guy who might do something like this.

But just because he had a lot of power and could make people rich, are we to assume he raped/groped women?

If he has a lot of power and could make people rich, doesn't that fly more into the possibility that a lot of people could use him to further their own careers/agendas?

just playing devils advocate as you would! :)
