gruven 530
(TORONTO) Last night, in Toronto, the AHLHOF (Alternative Hockey League Hall of Fame) was on hand to collect the game puck and stick from last nights All-Star Mike Richards, whose three goal performance led to the historic first win for the Steelhead's franchise. The Steelheads pulled out a 4-2 victory over the up-and-coming Canadian Gothic, evening their record on the season to 1-1. The Gothic put in a tough battle, with their Shanahan-like team approach, but fell a little short to the superlative effort by Richards. Next up for the Steelheads are the Mustangs, who, much like their minor league affiliate Toronto Maple Leafs, have gotten off to a shakey start, with losses to the Cheap Thieves and the very weak expansion Magically Delicious. While Mustangs GM Serge Bogoggledydoozyalosioan has vowed to put together a team that will play with 'truculence', his apparent misunderstanding of the word's meaning has led to the assemblage of a team that plays with flatulence.... The Good ol days.

gruven 530
January 10th 2015. First overall in the AHL. Heady days, friends. A certain NHL team from Toronto should take some notes: THIS was a rebuild.

gruven 530
Pretty sure we'd have to be in the running for most improved, since Steelheads went from the reject cup/B division to the President's Trophy. Is there a GM of the year award? I'd like mine in platinum, preferably Bedazzled.

gruven 530
SKINNER! i wish I could have saved some goals for tonight when i have no lineup. Galchenyuk too.
gruven 530
Incredibly gutsy come from behind victory last night for the steelheads. Galchenyuk and Zajac with multi goal games. But we are taking it one game at a time. Hardest game to win is the last one, and our opponent is a tough one and won't give up.
gruven 530
The Steelheads season forges ahead. The Cheap Thieves fought to the end, but couldn't overcome the depth of the Steelheads. but this is only a step. We have achieved nothing yet.
gruven 530
The breakout season for the Steelheads continues. Cheap Thieves down. Puck Warfare down in a tough series. Next up the juggernaut of the Big M's. Time to really roll up the sleeves and get at it. Love being the dog. Lots of fight in this dog.

bigguyren68 155
Hey Chris I was looking for Paul Stastny and thought you had him, but don't see him on your drop/sign list. Did I miss a trade?
gruven 530
Hey Chris I was looking for Paul Stastny and thought you had him, but don't see him on your drop/sign list. Did I miss a trade? i signed him. 5.25.
FCP Bob 1,312
i signed him. 5.25. he's not listed as signed by you so will be a Free Agent. I checked your money calculation and the amount of money you said you have signed your team for doesn't include that $5.25.
gruven 530
Well clearly I wouldn't let a player of his caliber walk for 5.25. Obviously an oversight. But if you feel it necessary to put him back in the free agent pool, bob, that's your decision. I've already had owners contact me and in the spirit of fair play tell me they wouldn't bid on stastny, with the idea that I bid on him for 5.25 and out him back. I'm sure there are some that would disagree. There are times when the spirit of the rule Shiukd be considered. What if I had forgotten to list eichel? Same thing? But you do what you think the right thing is.
