  1. If you usually take the pot when high cards show up on the board, I like to raise in position with mid or even low pocket pairs. If high cards come up, you have a good chance to win with continuation bet. If low cards come up, you have a good shot to hit your set and take a real big pot, especially if they have a real high PP or somehow hit two pair on the turn.
  2. If your read is that you have the best hand (and it sounds like you felt you were pot committed) then I definitely like the push. Play it based on your read and live with it.Looking back, I'm not sure the read that you are ahead is correct, though. She just flat called 2 re-raises, with you still left to act. (although one was a short stack reraise) What do you think she would have put YOU on? (don;t know what your image is).Good post.
  3. I don;t think 78 is an option. No way calling 1500 on 78 with no flush draw and a player behind left to act. I say 76 - Putting the BB on JJ/TT or AK, he calls 1500 thinking LP is weak. Q7 is a calling hand too, but a little weird UTG (even for Daniel).75 obviously makes sense, given that there is over $8K in the pot and it makes sense to go all-in to close the door on flush draws or boat possibilities. But if that were the right answer, it wouldn;t be "SUPER" interesting.
  4. Based on your read, I like the play alot, because there is the chance he will call with an inferior hand. Great job of raising on the turn to find out where you are at.Against any decent player, I would not like this move. Check it and show down a good hand. You would only get called if you were beat.
  5. horrible fold. Implied odds are well worth the $5 investment.
  6. This is a tough one - this reminds me of why I need to pay more attention to what ppl do early, because even seeing the player play one hand can make a difference. I tend to think call here, only b/c I would expect someone with QQ to raise more than 50 UTG, so I think TT is the most likely hand that has you beat. See alot of dummies that would play AQ and KJ this way, although it is a $200K tourney. Call and as the earlier poster said, be ready to shake hands. The only other way I would fold is if you are still $1K in chips and you think you are that much better than everyone else. I
  7. Probably some fantasy hockey trade that will get his team over .500
  8. were you in the hand or were you able to get hand history info fromsomewhere else?
  9. I just cashed out my whole bankroll. My new project is to turn $2K into $30K in the next 8 months.
