  1. Raising preflop and folding on the flop is a pretty bad idea. If you're going to play it aggressively, then you would raise the turn. If you're going to see cheap flops then you'd fold the flop. But don't build a big pot and then give your money away.
  2. JJT8 rainbow is a bad hand to be sure and i'd have folded preflop.But if you are playing against people who will cap each street with a nutlow 2nd weak pair and no flush redraw, then playing it can't be all bad.-g

You can make lots of assumptions, because that is what poker is all about.You sure can try to put your opponents on a hand.It is absolutely about exploiting edges where you have them. You sure can assume people are weak-tight for not pursuing edges when they have them in a cash game.
