  1. What bank are you with Merc? Also, I can't help on this question, however I think what Merc is really asking about withdrawal is since his bank is refusing ePassporte will they refuse to cash a check from PStars? That's an interesting question which I would like to know the answer as well.LJ
  2. Fleur why are you so pressed to switch sites? If you have found one you like so much and have an extremely reliable way to fund it (PayPal) then I say stay where you are. Like another poster said, people only use ePassporte b/c they allow US players, they were a nobody before Neteller had their thing go down. Besides if the Dutch Gov't were to audit your bank acct, and you use PayPal they'll just think you're selling a bunch of stuff on eBay and not claiming the income haha.IMO, it just is not worth it to be paranoid about the new funding process, you don't want that tilting your mind every
  3. If you do use the gift card option and find one that works, keep that card and reload it if possible, that way no more guesswork is involved.
  4. I finished making a chart today and will post it later. If you haven't finished yours yet don't worry about it, if you have feel free to post it before me! LaterLevin
  5. I disagree as well, saying to worry about the game only because you are lower stakes is like telling a mom&pop coffee shop they don't need to keep their finances because they aren't at Starbucks' level. Yeah everyone can improve their game, but tracking your bankroll is keeping score and if you aren't keeping score; how do you know if you are winning? This isn't tee ball!! hahaLevin
  6. Hey TJ I appreciate you using my copyrighted material...just kidding I was looking at your chart and noticed you had transitioning from a $150.00 bankoll to a $300.00 bankroll would take 30000hands @$1/100H, it would actually be 15000 or 150/100H. I'm at work so I haven't really check any other that was just the obvious one, but before you finished i just wanted to address that to understand your thinking a little better.Levin
  7. What is the general target goal for BB/100 hands?Levin
  8. Oh that is good information to know, I thought one BB/hour was a little low but I haven't moved out of the micro limits yet, I'm at like 20-25BB/hr there LOL. That makes me change my view on what limit i need to be at. My goal is to make $12.00/hr by the fall, which would provide a decent enough income but now I realize I only need 1200 in my BR instead of like 3600 LOLLevin
  9. I was in college today and was really bored and was thinking about how quickly a player can move through the limits of LHE, when I got home I modified the chart to suit the ring games of PokerStars. Basically the chart shows the level you want to play at, how much money you need (BB X 300) and how many hours of consistent play (making 1BB an hour) it will take to move up to the next limit.Blinds.............$ Needed.......Hrs to Move to next Limit.02/.04............12.00............450.05/.10............30.00............300.10/.20............60.00............450.25/.50...........150.00.......
  10. I had already read that post and the post that is linked inside of that one, no I didn't read all of the one inside because they were talking about PLO and another game that had nothing to do with what I was searching. With that said I still don't know what the buy-in deal is...would that be 30 buy-ins of $200 in a 1/2 NLHE? Here is a chart that I have found the most helpful so far but don't know how accurate it is:Game...........................Limit..........................Minimum bankroll Limit Texas Hold'em ....................................$.5-$1......................$300-$500 ....
  11. Hey everyone,I have $400.00 to invest in playing poker. Like a lot of people I only have experience in Holdem, although I am trying to get into Seven card stud, but that is another subject. I know that as a rule of thumb 300xBB for Limit is the way to go, however I am extremely confused on what I should do about NL. I am a fairly tight player I try voluntarily bet preflop 12-15%, so I was thinking 500xBB, however even when people on these boards speak of NL ring games they phrase the recommedation as 100 buy-ins...wouldn't that be 100x100 so 10,000BB?? That just doesn't seem to be correct.
