Just a note that a couple people who would have been in the top 15 were removed since they didn't enter with a valid FCP Forum account.

Couldn't find my name anywhere in the results. I was getting updates throughout the series here in the forum though. Weird. I looked all over the results page.

lol @ the tiebreaker answers. People really thought DN would cash for 2.7 mill not including the main event? Most of the answers are silly for the most part.

Daniel's WSOP Cashes over the last few years not including the Main Event and not including WSOP Europe.2006 - $103,8012007 - $122,6722008 - $538,1262009 - $331,8602010 - $132,533So over the last 5 years he's averaged $245,798. There are a lot more big buyin tournaments of $10K or above since 2008 so not really unreasonable to think that 2008 and 2009 would be average years for Daniel which would be over $400K as an average.Sure maybe 10% of the tiebreaker answers were silly, but not most of them.

LOL, I wonder if was the left or the right side that was 27. I did a bunch of test entries before it went live and I guess the last one didn't get deleted from the database

  • 2 weeks later...

Hmm so yeah I sucked this year, scoring tied for 1,088th place with 22 correct out of 57 entries. The winners tied scoring 38 of 57.Random chance would say 28.5 correct, so I was 6.5 off, and he was 9.5 off random. So you statistics guys... I have a few questions:If we both picked at totally random (I kind of did pick random, who were those people?), my odds of sucking this bad were.... uhhhh.. wait OH yeah I suck at this kind of math too. Statistics and probabilities? I was absent that day.Anyway, maybe a math aficianado or two can chime in here... what are the odds, picking randomly, of doing as shitty as I did, and as great as the winner did? Pickng randomly what are the odds of one of us scoring better or worse? I assume there are "standard deviations" but can you give a percentage? While I"m at it... suppose I have an 180,000,000 - 1 chance to win Powerball... I buy 5 tickets per week, 50 weeks each, for 40 years. By my calculations, that works to 10,000 entries... so I need 18,000 lifetimes to... what? If I play 180,000,000 RANDOM tickets for a drawing with 180,000,000 possible outcomes, what are my odds to win?Seems like a cool though experiment.Just seems like it would be hard to suck as bad as I did with the Fantasy Pool, even giving random results.Edited to add: The last places tied for 17 out of 47....that's 11.5 off random... what would be the odds of doing worse than that? what are the odds of doing that bad? The way I see this, given the large number of entries (and I'm sure that's important), the worst guesses were only 2 worse than the best guesses. Does that make sense?
