Creating An Ios + Android App For My Community!

Recommended Posts

I am thinking about having an iOS iPhone, iPad, and Android app for my community. I have had some requests from users because they think it will be easier to talk to the other members, ask questions and view various content I create.

Does anyone have their own iOS and Android app for their community?

It's been my experience that apps and phones and communication in general are very good things for communities, whether the community be small, large, or even medium size. Technology is something that I think is good and the use of technology for communities is in my opinion a thing which can be both good and bad (or regular) for communities, but even still, apps in my opinion are where technology is possibly heading, and I don't just mean iOS apps, I also mean Android apps, and also other apps in all possible worlds. I don't suggest making an app for a hypothetical community in a hypothetical (but possible) world with a hypothetical operating system, but I also don't suggest not doing this, only a fool would say that. God Bless You.

I had several points which are important to me.

1 - First I needed my own app with real time chat and private messaging including the ability to send push notifications that can be downloaded from the app stores by my users and seen in mobile (all versions) so I narrowed down the search for chat room app solutions..

2 - I needed a design to include my images, I needed my background to be black or transparent and completely white label with my logo.

3 - I do not like to install the chat in my server as this is high cpu and resource consumer. So I need a complete cloud chat service.

4 - Lastly, I needed the ability to add youtube videos, have users private message me, and have my own app account system.

I have checked several app builders and only 1 met my needs, Chatwing.

I choose Chatwing finally as it has real time messaging built in and can be custom branded as my own app plus can be integrated into my web page.

Dear Sir, I think it is imperative you see a doctor immediately, as you are suffering from a memory disorder. Over the past year you have gone on a search for a community app only to discover Chatwing multiple times.

If you're looking for a supplement to improve your memory, I would recommend finding something that satisfies the following criteria

1. Helps with memory

2. If it helps with Breast Tenderness, that's good too

3. Causes diarrhea

In my search, the thing that best meets my needs in these areas is GINKGO BILOBA.

GINKGO BILOBA: It's right for you!

Why are you idiots creating multiple accounts, posting in several different threads over the course of many months, only to both decide to come out in the same thread about a stupid app builder on a dead poker site?

I mean, your second account just copied and pasted the exact response from link #1 of OG's post.

How is this efficient marketing?

I recommend against making an android app. You really don't want to waste your time on Android people.

Honestly, as our privacy comes more and more under assault, I'd think about doing what you can to make your community less accessible, not more. Have you thought about migrating your community to TOR? It will be less convenient, but as long as you're still providing the goods, you're still going to get traffic. I mean, it's an addiction just like any drug.
