  1. I've been playing online for a living for almost three years. I started at .50/1.00 and moved through every level and now play 20/40, 30/60, 50/100, 100/200. I played touraments for a few months but found it way too boring. I have no idea how to play no limit, but I should learn. The only advice I can give is to say to quit. You'll continously go through things and downswings worse than you ever thought possible. You think you know what bad luck is, but there's a huge difference between having played 20K hands and 200K hands. Your game will sometimes slip, and you opposition is almost constant
  2. About 14K, mostly playing 100/200 on Party. A bunch of times losing 8-10K, it's not really that bad, it's just money, eh? As long as I can keep playing, what does it matter? All you people have the wrong attitude ... wrong.
  3. This is probably one of the most awful and delusional things I have ever read. Please do not continue to think this way. If rules are unjust (not the case here) there should be no reason to follow them. If the law is considered the end all and be all of justice we would live in a static political world. It would also justify the atrocities of the past in condoning them for following the law of their own time.
  4. About 11K. Oh, and there's some people, that when they turn 21, 80-160 would be a very small limit considering their br.
  5. By the way, this is predominantly what I am disagreeing with.Smasharoo: About 1% of people play better live than they do online. The other 99% tell themselves they do rather than fix the massive holes in their games. They play live, don't keep records and are convinced they play well, when really thy don't.
  6. I'd also be more than happy to play a 5K freezeout with you Charlie. Perhaps on Party? 30/60 Limit heads up ... I assume you're also fantastic at limit ... obviously ... just let me know, any time.
  7. WOW, you are arguing with a fundamentalist. Religious beliefs precede reason and therefore cannot be argued on rational grounds. Just drop it and argue about something where a constructive conclusion or at least dialogue can be accomplished. Why am I even writing this? so pointless ... despair ...
  8. It seems as though everyone needs to say somethign about this one, so I may as well too. I have quite a bit of experience online and a fair amount live, in home games, casinos, and private clubs. I don't really want to go over what other people have said so let me try to raise a new point. I think that to say online players or live players are better is problematic. I think that both have strengths and weaknesses but that they are different. The chief difference between live and online poker (other than seeing your opponents) is the number of hands played per hour. It is at least double online
  9. Down $300 in 180 hands in 3/6 at Party. Worse mini-streak than this???
  10. This post is for anyone, but especially for Smash, who i know plays the same game. I was wondering what successful player's bb/100 is at for the 3/6 limit holdem at party poker. after about 15K hands i'm at 3.5 which i think is quite high, and i think that it will go down. Just wanted to see what others are at. Thanks a lot.Note: I posted this also under the Texas Holdem section, but wasn't sure where it should go ... sorry.
