I currently have a $3600 BR on Stars that I've been grinding for most of this year. I play exclusively on Stars. I'd like to know people's thoughts/experiences/advice on moving my bankroll to Full Tilt, where I hear the games are softer, and I would be able to get rakeback. I also like the datamining aspect of Full Tilt a lot better. So any low stakes NLHE 6 max players out there who could provide me with some advice? I'm also not concerned with tournaments at all, so factor that out of considerations. I want this to be solely about cash games, 50 NL or higher.If you have a third party site to recommend, I am an American player so obviously my options are limited. I want this to mainly be about Stars vs Tilt but I will take other suggestions. Also, saying Stars is rigged, etc, is something I would prefer to be left out of discussion. I'm looking for serious advice from successful low stakes players that play on FT.

i play on both sites and i like that just fine. Maybe send a small portion of your stars bankroll over there and just try it out.

I want to keep all or almost all of my BR on one site because I feel less comfortable if I'm playing 100 NL with only like $1500.00 on a site. It makes me feel underrolled. I might keep like $300 on Stars and move the rest if I do actually make the move.

I'm finding I like the Full Tilt software better. As for which has softer games, I'd say it's close, so that with rakeback FT is probably a clear choice. On the other hand, those FPPs on Stars are worth a fair amount at mid and high levels.

If you can get rakeback and you aren't Supernova, you should go to FT.

I dont like the software... but the cash games on bodog are very very soft!

I enjoy the software on FT better than any I've tried. Can't really say that playing there is softer than AP though.

Another question is, do you need to make a deposit to get rakeback? Or could I open an account with rakeback, then have someone transfer me money?

You do not have to deposit to get rakeback, as long as u register thru an affiliate and play, you will get rakeback. FT offers an initial deposit bonus of 100% up to $600 so I recommend deposit something if you have the means. Also, PM me if you need a RB referral.

If you're a regular player you should look beyond rakeback vs frequent player points and look at the actual rake structure for the games that you are playing in.For example at On Game in a 3/6 limit game if the pot is $30 the rake is $1.50 while at Poker Stars it's $1.00.At Full Tilt the maximum rake when the table is 5 handed is $3 while at Poker Stars it's $2 so if you play in short handed games where the pot is often over $40 the amount of rake that you pay and that others in the game pay will be less.To be fair if you're playing heads up the rake is higher at Poker Stars than it is at Full Tilt.These are some of the things that most players ignore.

At 6 handed 100 NL on Stars, the rake is capped at 3.00 whereas at 5 handed it seems to be capped at 2.00 as far as I know? If I am playing at mainly 6 handed tables this will not make a difference however if the table drops to 5 handed, it does make a difference. I think that since I will more often be playing 6 handed, then playing with rakeback would be preferrable?

Snamuh.............if you haven't found a rakeback connection yet, you can click the link in my sig. It's for rakeupdate. I like that the funds are available whenever you want to transfer them back to the site, not as a once a month transfer as it is at some rakeback sites.Someone mentioned the 100% deposit bonus up to $600. For that, you do need to deposit, not just transfer. For rakeback, the transfer is fine.Just FYI.....at Fulltilt they count bonuses against the rakeback, so you won't start accruing rakeback until after you have cleared the whole bonus. Also, when you redeem your Fulltilt points, they subtract the value of the item from your rakeback. So when you redeem points, go back to PStars to play for the rest of the month so that you won't forfeit the rakeback that you would earn during that time.I like the software much better than PStars. Unfortunately, FT is rigged against me right now Good luck !

This statement is false. The bonus amount that you clear comes off of your total revenue on the account. You can still receive rakeback while clearing a bonus. It is much better to be getting rakeback and clearing a bonus then to be clearing a bonus without rakeback.

Whatever you do, make sure you deposit at least $600 to make the most of the sign-up bonus.I deposited a small amount at FTP, just to 'see what it was like', now I play there pretty much exclusively and seriously regret not getting the free $600. It's not a particularly difficult bonus to clear either. 4-table 6max cash games and you'll rattle through it in no time. gl.
