  1. quite a few acquaintences regularly beat the games there. they spread a 4/8 and 10/20 that has a lot of action. Good luck.
  2. My question is what kind of mistakes were you making prior to this finger crossing hand for your original 950.00, which I assume got larger based on your statement about picking up pots here and there, to dwindle down to less than 500.00? I'm not just giving you a hard time, just if I were you, that's what I would be focussing on.my point exactly. 1000 dollar pot and you started with 950? thats not good........
  3. you got yourself in trouble by not reraising preflop, you don't gain enough information about your opponents hand. He has one of three things on that flop. AA, AQ heart draw, or a set. You can't ask for a better flop with kings. No Ace, no straight, only two to a flush. If you won't play your kings here, where will you play them? Now, if you believe he has AA or a set, then lay it down. But you can't possible know this because you didnt reraise preflop.
  4. Hmmm, you did nothing wrong, you had the best hand the whole way.....he had a set when you had a straight. he needed to catch another ten, a nine, or an eight. That leaves him 7 outs. Since you had his nine and his ten tied up, that leaves him five. even if he hits one of them, and you hit Qd, you win. I will take king high straight with gutshot straight draw sharing two of my opponents cards needed to fill up any day.He was behind the entire hand.
  5. He had no way to know I was on a draw. An 8 was my up card, and I paired the jacks on 4th and 5th streets. Doubtful I was on a draw here. Switched around, Me being him, I would have assumed The other player had jacks up. I would have raised with my set to see where I stood. This gets more money in the pot if the player with jacks up doesnt' fill up, or if they are a draw, they are forced to call if they have two pair or a pair higher than nines due to pot odds.I feel I played the hand right, but read his hand wrong. I figured him for the pair of nines with either a straight or flush draw

  7. Hello all. Been lurking for months, figured I would try to get this stud forum rolling. I play 1/2, sometimes 3/6 if I can find a loose game on party poker. These two levels of play are extremely soft if you have a basic understanding of the game.I also play the nightly 10+1 tournament on PP. I have Played the tournament 19 times, and moneyed 16. My best finish was fourth on monday night. I suggest playing this tournament. I will start posting some interesting hand every now and then.anyone else play the tourney? Let me know your name and I will look for ya. Mine is CrosRoads.....
