  1. >>Chase money and you'll never be happy.<<NOW THAT'S IRONY.Somebody posting this on a POKER forum.
  2. LOL...Okay, Okay.Never was I under the assumption that this has NEVER happened before. What I said was "I feel like I've just witnessed something that no other player will ever see in their lifetime."I should have taken out "no other" and replaced it with "most"Seeing two RF in one night (IMO) is probably less likely to happen that watching your buddy get nailed by lightning on a golf course. An 85 year old, (who's practically lived in card clubs his whole life), was in awe when I told him this one today.I'm not looking for a medal, I'm not looking to get in Guiness (as somebody joked), I'm seri
  3. I simply need to know because the suspense is killing me.Last night I attended 2 single table tournaments at two different locations. In the first one, I saw a player get a Royal Flush. In 20 years, I've never seen one.I then went to the second tournament a few hours later.I saw a player get a Royal Flush.I saw 2 Royal Flushes in one night.I feel like I've just witnessed something that no other player will ever see in their lifetime. What would the odds be on this?
  4. If you were playing in a $10 game (at a bar), what was the prize? Was it a cash prize? Here in Ontario, (I believe) games are allowed providing there isn't a rake taken off the pot.In my opinion, (understanding that "ignorance is not an excuse") I'd put the blame on the bar.I'd say I was at the bar that night and they asked if I wanted to join in a $10 game with the understanding that I was winning a prize at the end (don't say it was cash). Therefore, the bar took total advantage of me by offering me the opportunity to participate in what I believed to be an evening of entertainment but inste

  6. Hurray. It's now working again.
  7. I have BELL, but only that site has problems.
  8. I can get the home page, I just can't log in. Nothing happens. If you click on other buttons , a "server not found" message comes up.
  9. Is POKER ROOM.com down?I haven't been able to log in for the last 24 hours.
  10. Sorry....the FINAL table.I know tournament strategy...I've been playing no-limit tourneys once a week for a year. But never in a casino. Stuff like making sure I have snacks etc. was exactly the stuff I've been looking for. For instance...are their breaks in play to get food etc.? The chip protector was a great bit of advice as well. Also, the dealers that have taught me are the same dealers that played with Daniel and I have sat with Daniel at a poker table while he's played (...and the man is a mind reader).. I have a recent picture of the two of us with our arms around each other over my desk
  11. Thanks everyone. I appreciate all of it.Now my main question wasn't answered....Should I drive out the night before and get a hotel room, wake up late and enjoy a nice breakfast etc. or just wake up early and drive straight?
  12. This I do know. I also learned the hard way in one of my first tourneys about string betting...(with pocket aces).
  13. ...so.... if I win like that do I also get in the record books?Ronnie
