Ok, last week was an ugly 2-2. But, we can build on this.Indy 24 -- NYJ 16Indy survives by forcing field goals.Saints 36 --- Vikes 34We deserve another shootout classic after such a crappy playoffs.
Can't see any reason to disagree with much of this. I'd like the Jets to win, they just won't. Saints may manage more of a spread (perhaps 30--20).

Wilbon did something the other day that drives me crazy. In one segment he was talking about how he wouldn't be surprised if the Jets beat the Colts because they have a great defense and a good running game and they're playing well and blah blah blah. Then the next segment when talking about Norv Turner, he's saying he should be fired because they lost to a 9-7 team.Well, which is it? Are they just a 9-7 team or are they a team with a great defense and a good running game capable of going to the Super Bowl?I'm hoping for a Saints-Colts Super Bowl, so it's a near lock that one of those teams will lose.

Was part of it because of how they treated Marty?

Was part of what because of who now?Just kidding, do you mean why isn't Norv being fired for going 13-3 and then losing in the first round of the playoffs when Marty did the same thing and got fired? That's a reasonable argument. But then you don't need to try to make the opponent sound like a huge underdog when you just got done talking about how good they are.

What would a Vikes loss be without a critical Peterson fumble. I realize there is a whole half to play but now they're playing from behind, on the road, with no momentum. Not looking good. How many times does he need to fumble before he makes it a priority to hold on to the fucking football?as;ldfjal;skgjalerjoi!!!!11!!!!!1!Edit: Another fumble...I guess he still didn't learn his lesson.Edit 2: I guess he still didn't learn his lesson.

hahahahahahahahaThe best part of this, is that IF Favre does retire, his last pass in a meaningful game was an interception.Seriously, didn't anyone not see this coming?

Wow, a crushing Favre pick late in a game where Brett makes a fundamentally unsound decision. Some things never change. It seemed like that football had grease on it at times. It was nice to get two great games today. And it was nice to see the Jets finally lose. Really nice.

Meh sucks for Brett. I guess he got to the point again where he thinks everything is up to him after all the fumbles and when he gets in that mindset he does some stupid shit. What a warrior though with all the big shots he took, he must have a oxy-contin drip on the sidelines.

My friend, whose a Packer fan, told me at some point Favre is going to rip your heart out with a bone head play. I'm pretty sure that was it. I couldn't move when that ball was picked off. I just couldn't believe with all the turnovers we had today he still throws that ball. This loss doesn't hurt as bad as 1998, but it stings.

Near lock.Manning is amazing. That Favre interception made my day. I loved the reaction of the Minnesota radio guy, just total and complete dejection.

I'm not sure this question asks what you intend it to ask, but my reaction was a completely unsurprised, "Yeah, that seems about right."EDIT: Just heard the Minnesota radio call. Holy hell, that is incredible.
It really took a tall one to see it, two to believe it, three to just get in the way.

Manning is amazing.
I saw his final numbers this morning.....jaw-dropping. Considering how ordinary the Jets made Rivers look it is all the more impressive. It took him 25 minutes but he figured out those blitzes eventually.I love Favre bashing but the Vikings really outplayed the Saints in that game. 6 fumbles (3 lost), 2 picks and they still score 28 and should have had a chance to win it at the end of regulation. NO got super lucky and I do not like their chances much against Indy. Saints run a poor man's version of the Jets defense and we all saw how well all that blitzing worked on Manning....

My favorite quote I heard (and this might've been from the first time they played) was one of the Jets players talking about how Manning was calling out who was blitzing and where he was going and the defensive players were just thinking, what do we do now? Do we still go?

Actually it's worse than that.He had an INT on his last play as a Falcon. He had an INT on his last play as a Packer. He had an INT on his last play as a Jet.He had an INT on his last play as a Viking, unless he returns.
