  1. i think this arguement is pointless now.for those that believe live games at limits 15-30 to 40-80 are weak, full of donks and so forth more power to you.as you FCP ers like to say TP/MM
  2. never having played 2/4 limits i guess your right if there can be such a thing as too much analysis of a hand. i think it comes down to my read on the player and at limits 2/4 i probably wouldnt give too much credit to the player. of course this is based on live games. im sure 2/4 online plays much better. i wouldnt know. 2/4 live i would bet river 99% of the time.
  3. i would go with my read on the playerif you think he is a calling station then bet the river.if he is a decent player i think its hard for him to call your river bet with too many holdings. maybe he cant let go of poket js or 9s but thats about it i think.of course you image is important too. if you have a image of one who will value bet with very marginal holdings then maybe he calls more frequently. but i think i would give you credit for at least 2nd pair unless you showed a tendency to bluff chkraise out of position on the turn.
  4. i did include all poket pairs less than ten.if he had higher poket pairs he wouldnt have played it like this.you said it was 5 handed not HU.my point is what does he put you on with your turn raise. maybe he can put you on a flush draw with over cards and call your raise with mariginal holdings. seems like he would be the super donk to call you turn raise while expecting a river bet with pairs less than 10s.even if he can go for a two pair draw he is not getting the right price.maybe im giving the bb too much credit and at these limits they call you down more frequently with very marginal hol
  5. if i chk raised the flop and bb called and then called my turn bet i would be more inclined to bet the river for value. but him calling the turn raise i would give him credit for some kind of draw to at least 2 pair. maybe ak(2 overs) if he missed his 2pair draw like a5 or a2 i doubt he calls the river bet. unless he is a very loose bad player i cant see you getting a call by a worse hand than yours.again this is 2-4 so i dont know what the typical players do here.
  6. hands he calls your turn raise with-j9 kjkxsany spade drawis your read on the player that he will call your turn raise and call river bet with pair of 5s or 2s or poket pair less than 10s?if you can get a value bet from holdings like that more power to you.guess im not used to playing those limits if thats 99% of wats gonna happen.
  7. not sure if twinkie soft is the proper term. dont get me wrong they are full of bad players but a better term would probably be reckless. the games in L.A. at any limit or not soft games you can run over with shear aggression. i haven't played 3/6 limits in years but the style of play is similar at all limits in one way. push push push. soft to me represents call call call and fold fold fold. DN wrote about L.A. games in one of his cardplayer articles. you can chk it out in the archives.also middle limits here are considered 15-30 to 40-80 and for reasons i stated above they are far from bei
  8. i would play it close to the same way but probably check call the river. unless your read on the bb is that he would call your river bet even if he is facing 2 over cards. otherwise he calls u or raises u with a better hand that yours. if he is super agressive he might even make a bluff at the end and you can gain a bet.

  10. i think wat is considered middle or high limit online is different than live and thats where the confusion or disagreement lies. 15-30 might be high limits online but is on the boarder of low and middle at live casinos(large ones at least, i.e. commerce, bellagio, and the poker industry for that matter) for example when i look at ultimatebet and click high limit tab it includes 15-30. anyone in the poker industry would agree that is not correct when it comes to live play. at commerce casino for example 15-30 is consider middle limit at best and there are plenty of tables running 24/7. this
  11. i only agree with this statement when in regards to lower limits.5-10, 10-20 are considered lower limits at live casinos.20-40 can be considered perhaps the start of middle limits.the higher you go in limits the less accurate your statement is.as far as DN playing online, yes i am aware of his site. but you would have to agree he is considered a live cash game and tourney player with limited online experience at best. even with that he took on some of the better high limit online players and so far has the better of it. so i believe this is a small example that backs my statement. in addit
  12. Ive been to dozens of casinos, and played on several sites for extended periods of time. The best 2/4 live game ive seen has been comparable to some of the worst online 2/4 games ive seen (or should i see the worst live games are comparable to the best online games?). In the limited experience that ive had at 5/10 and as high as 15/30 live, the tables were comparable to typical .50/1 tables that ive played at on party.Im not basing that on results, but the quality of play. The players are just so obviously horrible live that it stands out. It's not as if ive made a point of doing some stud
  13. many people that say B&M casino is much easier to win than online, are making generalizations based on only thier own limited experience of live play.lets get one thing straight. everyone can be experiencing the same thing online because wherever you live, whether it be NYC or timbucktoo, you can get online to any of the major poker sites and play people from around the world. so your experience online will be similar to everyone else's. most likely you will be facing a variety of opponents with a wide range of skill level.however this can not be same for live play. most likely you are
