I've read in numerous places, (I think 2+2 and o8poker.com) that 120 big bets is enough of a bankroll for limit.

I live about 2 blocks from fenway and landsdown street were all those bars are. Definantly going to be nuts tonight, about a million people have walked by my apartment already today. If you want to get caught up in the bosox craziness that's the place to go, otherwise I'd probably avoid the area.

Gamesgrid has a dealer's choice game. They offer hold em, omaha 8b, stud, stud 8b, and razz as choices I think.

I've read Championship Omaha by TJ Cloutier and Tom McEvoy. I'd check that out as well as SS2. Both are good.

If they hold qualifiers for a year think of how many people they will send? I think its a great idea. It attracts more people to the site and will get the name out there more.

well it's in union square, so it's not quite by the T. you can take the T over to central square (red line) then walk or take a cab down a few blocks. there's a bus that goes to union square, but it's off on saturdays.alternately, maybe someone could host it somewhere closer to a T stop. the #1 bus (mass ave from harvard to dudley) runs on saturdays, and it stops at MIT (77 mass ave), so we could maybe host it at MIT.we'll figure out the place if transportation is a problem for anyone.aseemyeah thats fine, a little walk or cab ride is ok. If its on I should be there.

Good times with Phish...none really poker related though. Phish shows are still some of my fondest memories.

I'm going down to daytona next week and was going to try and play some poker. I read a few old posts about the suncruz casino and checked out their website. I was wondering if anyone knew what games and limits they spread, and when a good time to go is.

I read his book. He definantly has a "math guy" approach to the game. He gives strategy advice in between chapters detaling his poker career from the start. It's an interesting read, however if you're looking for a "strategy" book you could do better elsewhere. The book is good if you like reading about poker (as I assume most people on here do).

I usually just lurk on here but I had to chime in here. He didn't move in with an inside straight draw. He moved in with 9 high. He wasn't thinking "if I get called hopefully I'll hit my inside straight." He was looking to pick up the pot right there assuming (incorrectly) that because so much money went in preflop his opponent is holding two cards above 10, hence hitting none of this flop.
