  1. Short answer: No.Longer answer: No. WPT or WSOP or WCP2 are better.Longer longer answer: No console game is as good as going out and playing in a B&M league (even for free) or tournaments or online. If you want to get better, this is not the way to do it. It's a buggy game, put out by MTV, and very poorly tested. Trust me. This game will make you never want to buy a poker game again.
  2. Except if you divide out the other numbers in that table, it doesn't seem to work out that way. Something in that first table is incorrect. I'm working the other math through a calculator. Probability statistics is hard at times.
  3. Hmm.. I'm going off this:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poker_probabi...s_hold_'em)However, it's apparently incorrect on the odds for a PP. It lists 16:1. The correct answer is 17:1
  4. Simple question. You're asking what are the odds of three people getting pocket pairs. Now, let's also remember that these three events.. player one getting pair, player two getting pair, and player three getting pair..The odds of those three things are minutely dependable on each other. So there are 1326 possible starting hands. (52 * 51) / 2 Of those 1326 possible starting hands, there are 13 pairs with six permutations for a pair. 78 hands are pairs. 78/1326 = 1/16 So the odds of getting a pocket pair are 1/16.Now, the odds of that pair being dominated if it were 2's with 7 other people in
  5. Well, when people enter into endorsements and such, things are expected of them. And this game is HORRIBLY unsuccessful. It's going to end up trickling down to the company that made it, and it's going to result in them losing jobs, etc. MTV is going to lose money on this. So too is Myelin, and 5000ft. And when people lose money, people get sued. Nobody wants to be left having lost the most money. Voided contracts come in to play when certain targets are not met or things are not done properly, and in this situation, a lot of people are going to argue that things were not done properly.A
  6. Honestly? I don't care what he says. It doesn't change anything. Heck, half you people here think we're lying. Even after the response from tech support that has been published and ASSENTED BY A DEVELOPER, we've been told that it's a lie , and obviously the game doesn't work that badly. What can Daniel say to that? I mean, it's not like he has any facts that are relevent. It's not that he can change it. He can't make the game better. And, if I know contracts and endorsements correctly, he can't talk about its flaws without paying a serious fine. He HAS to endorse the game. It's what
  7. Thanks, Tskillz.I want to believe that someone of Daniel's caliber would have noticed that the game required a card to come from the hole..I don't want to believe that every shot of him playing the game everywhere was fabricated or marketing chutzpah. I'm just confused why the animosity and anger that people seem to have. The game sucks. Get over it. It wasn't sold to us as "OMG Play on the Internet for freez!" It was sold to us as "This will help you beat the people on the internet you play for COST." It was sold as "real hold'em" and as a Trainer. The marketing speak for this product
  8. Nope, but as he said "People who get this game are better players than those that don't. This is REAL hold'em, and will train you to beat people at the cash table and in tournaments."So, anyone saying it's just a game.. Tell Daniel that. He doesn't seem to believe you.
  9. He didn't just go on MTV. He went on High Stakes Poker and had a stacked tournament. He went on various other shows. Before he got in with FCP and when he was with Poker Mountain, he was taking this game around with an MTV crew. The fact is, it wasn't just a company representative.. you can see Daniel playing this game all over the place. Let's not pretend like this is something Daniel JUST picked up and started talking about. He's been in bed with these guys from the start.Look, all that Daniel craps is not gold. He talked this game up, and got a lot of people to talk it up for / with
  10. No, but it IS his job to STFU about it and stop acting like it's the best poker game in the world. I mean, he told people that they would be well on their way to winning a bracelet with this game.. and now, after the game comes out, he's complaining about the sanctity of bracelets?Seriously. He was a marketing whore for this game. Us giving him his lumps is deserved. Maybe he'll learn from this.
  11. I don't think poker has jumped the shark.I think what we knew of poker is dead. I think that the new poker will be flashier, ritzier, more .. publicized. People have discovered they can make a LOT of money off poker.. and not just playing it, but hosting it.. The WSOP is a huge money maker for Harrahs, because Donk's scrape together $10000 or put it on a Credit Card to play in it. Other casinos will realize the same thing.Who cares how many people play in it.. each additional player is $10,000. Poker's not jumped the shark. But the day of thoughtful poker play gauranteeing you'll go far
  12. Not really. Has nascar become better (it's a sport, and it's got a massive influx..) No. It's become scarier and more like a soap opera. Has baseball become better? I guess if you call the roid'ed up players and all the asteriks in the record books "better." Football? Sure.. that's popular.. but now a player doesn't even stay with a team for more than a few years. A five year QB is an incredible thing. Basketball? Fights at courtside, high incidence of gang related incidents happening in the stands.. that's helpful. Hockey? Well, there was a strike a few years back, and despite the
  13. What's the point of a bracelet if it means nothing? The sad thing is, thank you all for making this happen. Me, you, MTV, Daniel Negreanu, World Poker Tour, ESPN... this is all happening because poker IS successful. It's the number one card game in the world. It's NOT Harrah's fault that they want to make money. Any casino in the world would be doing this crap with all the people coming to play. And .. that's our fault. Because the influx of people is what made poker successful.. and it just might be what kills it for the older players of the game. Face it. It's now ESPNized like it n
  14. A couple of things:1) The original poster is correct. An employee of Meylin / 5000ft reiterated it in a public post on PlanetStacked, that when the board has the winning hand, the player with the best hand in the hole wins the entire pot. 2) Daniel is the one that said this game is the best thing ever and would revolutionize the poker world. The original poster did not say anything like that. I have the Inside Stacked DVD where Daniel says outright that anyone who plays this game and beats its single player mode would easily be able to go heads up with him and WIN. Daniel has made it kno
  15. I'm sorry if I seem rude. I believed everything Daniel said about this game, because I looked up to him. A lot of people looked up to Daniel because he's "rebellious" and "kidpoker" and all that. I look up to him because he's normal. He seems human. Most of these other guys seem to go with a "facade" and stick with it. Phil Hellmuth with those cans on his ears.. Doyle Brunson with this "Texas Grandpa" look and feel... etc. Not that I'm ripping on these guys, no, they're good players to be admired. But, they feel fake. Daniel has a life, a wife, and does things outside of Poker. He se
