  1. ive been away for a while..now im reading all about this rivalry, but when are they infact going to have a match? Sorry ive been in the bush for ever haha.Dan
  2. I guess sarcasm doesnt go over well in text. I was more thinkin along the lines of last chance..joking..only time i was serious was when i was short stack w/ 4ppl left. But yeah i was trying to be sarcastic and joke w/ the guy..and he was a hell of a guy too, really nice.Dan
  3. So i went to the local omnday %60 buy in 43 people played, And i came in 1st got a nice take home of $978. It was agood tourny..i was short stakced going into the money..4th pays and i offerd a deal, no one said yes of corse, so i got some chips and eliminated one guy, so im sitting second, i offer again..and again they say no..so i go and eliminated another, and now i am commanding chip leader, and i say last chance, and he said no..so we where heads up, they guy was really really nice. And basically it was a toss up who go cardss 1st..we passed blinds around ofr a hour, finally i saw a king
  4. that is the life eh..Im lovin the segments here, and pics keep em coming. Very entertaining.Dan
  5. I have won a couple of mine, but i have had some really bad players come over and just whup ass too..its really funny. Dan
  6. Haha, i have noticed a bit of it. there is all kinds of nonsence posts here aswell. Oh well I'll stick to the ones that intrest me, and i keep out of the way of online arguments..they are pretty ridiculasDan
  7. How many of you have homegames on a regular bases? I have had a home game a week now for the past year or so. And at the end of the month I try (not always succesful) try to have a bigger stakes game. They are 9/10 NL texas, sometimes we play limit, once omaha. Usually its just 8-10 friends playing 20-30 buy in winner takes all. But my month end is fun, i get ppl from all over the city playing in it..i limit the number of ppl aloud to play as 18 two tables (all i got haha) make it 100 buy in. usually i get around 10-14 people playing in it. lots of cancelations cause of work scheduals up he
  8. question is kind of like asking who your favorite hockey team is...its all based on opinon. Of corse there is a correct way to play each of the styles. But you play the way you feel comfertable, and if your winning who can argue? As for folding AK preflop? i can see a few scenario's were a guy would..but on average..thats not a folding hand.Dan
  9. In my opinion you made the right play. Just a typical online bad beat. You are totaly correct about going into the money w/ no chips. I mean sure money is good and all, but whats the point I don't go into a tourny to make my money back, i go to win. And with AA your chances against a heads up opponint is very good. Had you of won this, you would have been sitting much nicer in the mone area. Personally I say you playd like most would. Catching runner runner to make a set. Pre flop your 83% to win. you cant argue that number..after the flop your a 94% favorite. Its just insane to be able to cat
  10. This is awesome. Great way for an average player to learn from a pro. Like i said i have been wathing this forum for a long time, but only just today started posting. But it seems like Daniel is very dedicated to not only his profesion, but his fans. Well thanks again.Dan
  11. Hahha no no..I work for halliburton up in the vast canadian oil field, and 90% of our work is on the road. So I am often staying in camps in the middle of the bush, or in hotels.Dan
  12. I read that blog and had a good chuckle at the end. I don't know what you were doing in that pot. But it paid off in the end. Good workDan
  13. i' m going to agree w/ paul phillips. I have watched him a few times, and he is a very very smart player. I personally belive what helps him alot in his game is he plays for the love of playing and has the hunger for the win of a braclet, or a title. The money doesnt mean as much to him. Alot of players will hit the bubble and start playing scared and tight and wanting to cash, that doesnt mean a whole lot to dot com, and because of that he plays well and the same game through the whole tournament. I'll have to agree he is a very under rated player.Dan
  14. Hello everyone. I have been reading DN blog, and also following this forum for some time. I take pride in picking the forum's I would like to be appart of there is alot of crap out there. Anyhow I decided that FCP would be a nice place to learn from, and hopefully add my two cents here and there. I have been playing poker for 3 years now since I was 19. I am origionally from Vancouver Island BC, but currently live in Grande Prairie AB. I play online sevral hours a day unless i am in camp. I usually play noble, or poker room, as well as several other sites. but I am looking for a new home
