  1. Similar thing happened to me but they weren't my family and they were lesbians.
  2. $2,600???? Jeez. When buying parts from Newegg you should never spend more than $600 w/o monitor. Anything more is a waste of money.
  3. Yeah. I can just jot some things down after I'm done. I guess I just figured at least a few people did take notes while playing but I can understand why this isn't done.
  4. So taking notes at the table = bad. I get it.
  5. Hmmm, I swear I say DN take a couple notes on HSP. Was I mistaken?
  6. Not notes on other players. Notes hands I play so I can analyze my decision making process. As far as amount of the buyin is concerned, I always try to play my best, not matter what the stakes are.
  7. I want to start taking notes at the poker table (I play in a local weekly $20 NL tourney). Any suggestions on the best method to do this? I was thinking of a flip notepad much like a detective might use to jot notes on. Also, any suggestions on efficient shorthand to use while taking notes?

  9. That's what I thought. I had taken some criticism from the people there for making the call. It seemed pretty clear to me. I guess I found a good group of people to play with.
  10. Blinds are $10,000 - $5000. I have $7000 after posting big blind. There are four people left at FT. The person two spots to my left (or my right for that matter) has $8000.I am in BB with 64. Fold, fold, small blind raises all-in. He has me covered with $50,000 more in his stack. There is $27,000 in the pot. It's my last $7,000 to call. Payouts is $60 for 4th place and $100 for 3rd, if that matters. He has raised my BB the last 3 trips around. First time he did I called with K10. He had 74 and caught a 7 on the turn. The next 2 times, I had to fold trash hand (93 and 62). Each of those times he
  11. Love this thread. I read every word.In the home cash game I play in - $2/$4 NL where the standard raise is $12:"I got priced in."I love that game.
  12. But doesn't "spending" your table image just leave you with a different table image? Can you not use whatever table image to your advantage given the right situation (which this quiz demonstrates in my opinion)? What if you find yourself with KK later on in the same situation (which is almost exactly what Harrington uses to explain the squeeze in Vol I if I recall correctly)? If indeed you read them to not be able to make that call, how can you not make the raise?
  13. Just something I like to say when I'm playing Euchre - "Jump on that like a Monkey on a cigarette!" I think smoking monkey are hilarious.I'm lurking over at Strategy. Don't have much to add at I'm still in many ways a novice at poker.
  14. Actually, she is one of the best players period. Man or woman. And you sound like a moron (or 15 years old). If I were running this board, I'd ban your *** faster than a monkey could jump on a cigarette.
