I thoroughly enjoyed All Star weekend...

Great to see the personalities of the players come out...Great story came out that Ovy was lobbying for the car to give it to the kid he has befriended that has Downs Syndrome...Shows me what this stuff is all about..

Honda picks up the story and gives him the car...

Other stuff that was funny:

Carey Price sees a guy in a Kessel jersey, makes a joke about, wonder if he will throw it on the ice.

Bobby Lou is always funny..Want to hang out with that guy..

Kevin Shattenkirk looks like Andi Kaufman

Brian Elliott is a funny dude...Glen Healy gave a shout out the Pickering Panthers and said Elliott played for us, but dont think he did..He played in Ajax though.

Patrick Kane is very talented.

Toews is quite buy has a funny side.

Sutter's kid on the bench was AWESOME

JT scores 4 goals and doesnt get the MVP, cmon man.

#91's in the NHL all tend to score a bunch.

The Black jersey was brutal, couldnt read the name or numbers of the players.

The Flower needs to get goaltending lessons.

Hockey without hitting or defence isnt really hockey.

Thank you Bettman for hooking up Toronto with two very cool events in 2017 to go along with our Stanley Cup win.

Hey Dubey found this interesting stat line on Devan.

in 2005-2006 while playing for the Kamloops Blazers he got 35 PIM ..

Was he involved in a couple of fights?

he got in 1 fight that year I think. Only fight he has ever been in.

It was mostly a joke though as it was his former back up goalie and billet housemate. There was a line brawl and they just kind of looked at each other, shrugged and laughed, and skated to centre ice. Not sure about the other 30 PIMs though

My guess is 5 and 10 for the fight and 10 minor penalties the rest of the year. 10 still seems like a lot for a goalie. Maybe a game misconduct for the fight?

Ron Hextall got 104, 104 and 113 in 3 consecutive years...CRAZY eh...

Weird that Brodeur is retiring and joining the BLUES front office..Not the Devils..

The Devils are his wife. The Blues are his sister in law.

Its stupid really..

I think the issue is Lou went up to him and said, Marty you are done..Lets hang em up..

He said, screw you I m done..I can really play..

OR he is broke and he really needed the money..But I guess if thats the case Europe and KHL would pay him still...

Still 5 % to win the lottery

4.3 % to make the playoffs.

I went to the Leafs vs Anaheim game on December 16..

A game that we won 6-2..The place was electric..Everyone was excited...Team was on top of the NHL in scoring..We were 95% to make the playoffs after that game according to the odds...

I think we often lose sight of the fact these guys can often have more on their mind than hockey.

I agree.

I for one used to be the type that never got that, and worse, never gave it much thought about people in general.

Now, I find myself always giving people the benefit of the doubt in so many situations, and just being less in a rush to judge, knowing I have no real idea what that person has gone through, lived with, or continues to experience. It also lessens the number of times I get angry over the stupid shit that people do.

Very cool to see a game at Joe Louis. Even got to see Ted Lindsay in person a few feet from us, he was signing his book, at first he didnt have much of a lineup.

I found the game VERY quiet. Reminded me of ACC. strange, i was told its usually a little louder but not much. not what i would have expected for a 2pm game.

Tatar was flying. I need to figure out something with him+Nyqvist, dont know how to "fix" that double up.

Also, everyone I met in Detroit over the last 36hours was very friendly, fun people, all very nice even though one of us had the enemy jersey on at the game. (Islanders) Chellys bar before the game with a free shuttle was fun, Greektown at night was fun.

Had not been to Det in 15yrs, left with a great experience+opinion of the place+people.
