Dubey 1,035
holy crap at that sink hole in Toronto. Sink Holes fascinate me, but I never hear anything about them. I'm 90% sure we had a giant sink hole appear in the middle of the street in our neighborhood in Newmarket when I was 6 or 7 years old, but it's one of those really foggy memories where I'm not 100% sure if it really happened or if it was just a dream
Zach6668 513
That sinkhole is in Ottawa. Like 3 blocks from Parliament Hill. edit - unless there's another one here and you're not referring to the one I was tweeting about

Zach6668 513
It's a pretty major corner in downtown Ottawa. The Rideau Centre (giant downtown mall) is right there, and there's also subway construction going on near there, if not right there.
Dubey 1,035
Can they even fix that? do they just fill it in?
Zach6668 513
The Rideau Centre is also undergoing renovations just east of there. Filling in a parking lot with more mall.

So he's in Cleveland right now watching the Warriors play in the finals... and tomorrow, he'll be with me in Pittsburgh watching the Sharks play in the finals. How's that for a road trip? doox 15
I was wondering if you had managed to snag a ticket or not - have a good time! Hope it's a clincher.
Zach6668 513
Yup... I bit the bullet and grabbed a pair at $499 + 85 in fees... which is way too much money in $CAD... but now that it's the potential clincher, and the market has the cheapest tickets priced at more than double that... I'm feeling good about my decision. Leaving Toronto at 8:35 tomorrow morning. Having trouble deciding which jerseys to bring, and also plan on buying a Kessel jersey while I'm there. Thinking I'll stick with my 1999 Jagr jersey until I get the Kessel.
Zach6668 513
I'm also excited to take transit from the airport in Pittsburgh. I've never been on the transit system there... we'll see. I've got all the time in the world after I land to get in, drop my bag off at the hotel, and walk around until check in. Tomorrow will be a good day.

So happy for Kessel if they win, after his treatment in Toronto he was one of those guys I cheer for no matter where he goes. 28-1 ****KKKK
pezeveng 207
The violence in Toronto is getting out of hand: http://www.cp24.com/...oting-1.2935229 http://www.cp24.com/...icoke-1.2935278 Beeba Boys is pretty much based on the trucking and drug biz. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_LT_KJjznU

I would rather put my dollars towards my family. But hey you are a single guy so more power to you

FCP Bob 1,312
Do you suburban Toronto folks prefer flying out of Pearson or Billy Bishop? never flown Porter but I hear it's a great experience I can drive to Pearson much faster than getting downtown to Billy Bishop plus no parking there

It's fine, good. But it just feels like any other flight to me.
mrdannyg 274
I don't particularly enjoy Pearson's flights - actually find air canada much better. But getting in and out of billy bishop is just awesome and I like the waiting areas pre-flight too with unlimited pop and cookies. It should be noted that I've only done billy bishop flying for work, which in general is a much more pleasant experience than non-work trips carting around kids and luggage! gruven 530
To me, there are pros and cons to both, and it's close enough that price is always the deciding factor in airline choice.
Zach6668 513
Porter is offering a $50 voucher for my flight being delayed on Saturday. Entirely unprompted. This makes me suspicious that I may be entitled to more than they're offering and this is a clandestine buy out while I waive whatever rights I may have. Any ideas? This was not a weather issue.
